Try this out:
Other have disagreed with me, vocally, as only online forum users can (), because he's too small compared to all the iterations of the character ever. But, in my mind, I explain his size by considering him the evil genius, plotter, schemer behind the throne.
Small size? Who cares, the sole idea of him is terrifying!
Get the figure, it's a good 'un.

You also dismantled it to create Space Case, not sure that still counts.

FoC Shockwave is actually in scale with his fellow FOC toys. In the cutscene after Megatron chases a newly-coronated Starscream from the gladiatorial arena, you can see that Shockwave is shorter than Megs. So he's not quite as large as some might imagine.
In short, I recommend getting him if you have a dedicated FOC shelf on display, but he's way too small to scale in with your neo-G1 toys, especially if MP-10 OP is your chosen G1 Optimus.

Fair point.
Still, the movie aesthetic divides some folks, and I'd consider Aligned Shockwave much closer to his G1 incarnation and his movie self to be far less interesting, if better scaled.
