Do ya'll think there will be an eventual updated/revamped MP Grimlock? Like they did with Starscream, and Optimus? :-?

Maybe a G2 blue Grimmy but that's about it and i highly doubt it.

They seem to feel that we all need ten thousand Seekers and Optimus' in our collections. So i'm sure they will keep the focus on "updating" those molds and characters. :HEADHURTS:

Don't quote me though.

EDIT: I forgot. The Sideswipe mold will also take priority.

Unlike Optimus, Megatron, and the seeker mold I don't think there's enough wrong(if anything at all) with Grimmy that would account for a complete overhaul.

Grimlock is a really solid mold, and around the right size for the new MP's, so doubt they'll (hope they don't) reboot him.

Grimlock and Megatron don't have the same "excuse" for repaints like many other Masterpiece molds. You can release a Seeker in 9 different iterations (including Sunstorm, Slipstream and Acid Rain) and no one will bat an eye at you. They already got a second use out of Grimlock with the Marvel comics version, but given the lack of any other G2 Masterpiece repaint, I doubt he'll see such a release.

Random thought: What about Soundwave, is there a Soundblaster repaint/remold announced so far?

Random thought 2: Now if they can clear license rights for the VW Beetle, they can make an MP Minibot and release that in thirty different colours and retools for all the little-car bots out there.

Blasphemy! MP Grimlock is 99% perfect (aside from the scratches you might get on his chrome when transforming). I highly doubt Takara will find a need to alter the mold.

No news for Soundblaster that I know of. But it's only a matter of time.

I bet they will re-release Grimlock down the road, with eBay prices hitting 300$,Takara will want to make a few bucks selling thousands at 169$ or so.

When it comes to MPs, Grimlock is as good as it gets. No need to re-do him. Maybe that G2 repaint, but that's highly doubtful.

I am of the firm (admittedly minority) position that we do need a new MP Grimlock. Don't get me wrong, I quike like my MP Grimmy, but now that the MP line has put a strong emphasis on scale, Grimlock need to get bigger. Actually, a fair bit bigger. In my opinion of course. But I would gladly buy a larger Grimlock, and it's my hope they do this sooner rather than later, so we can quickly move on to another Dinobot or two before the line ends. And once the release a corrective Megatron, it should be nothing but new characters from then on. Well, okay, maybe a new Skywarp and Takara Thundercracker in the new seeker mold.
