Hooligan. If you're not familiar with the Cyberjets, you're missing out. I don't think Hooligan or Skyjack qualify for this hthread though, since they're G2 and this is a G1 names thread.

Would you like any of us to feign surprise that you choose these names? :P

Octane (will be re-used shortly)
Ironfist
Dogfight

Do names like Depth Charge count? where the figure was repainted/retooled, and released, without any changes to the character?
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

yeah I know, but I'm worried about how insanely expensive they will be.
Plus I thought this game was for general release and not exclusives.

Astrotrain got used as a club exclusive and as a Classic, so he got used after G1. On God Ginrai, I don't think this thread was about Takara names, just Hasbro ones.

Oh okay, but I'm pretty sure God Ginrai Is G1 and his name hasn't been reused but just not in the US....

Yes, God Ginrai was G1, but the first post in this thread mentions "Hasbro" names. He has never been used by Hasbro in G1, only Takara.

K, here are three

- Airwave
- Apeface
- Backstreet

Someone mentioned Tap-Out earlier, which doesn't count because that was Botcon Extended Universe. And Thunderwing was reused recently as a Cybertron Mini-con, and as a Classics Mini-con.

A very, very obscure Decepticon that only appeared in a single issue of the Transformers manga in Japan. There's a link to his single translated comic appearance under my sig, which is of course that of Guiltor.

Poor guy has an awsome design in my opinion, but never got a figure, or a name reuse. Ok, so he's technicly Takara, but maybe if I spread his name around enough, Hasbro'll get the message and make a figure of him. It's not likely, but stranger things have happened.

Oh okay, but I'm pretty sure God Ginrai Is G1 and his name hasn't been reused but just not in the US....

The name Ginrai was used in the US. For the Commemorative Series edition of Powermaster Optimus Prime, his nebulon PM was named Ginrai. So it was kind of used. But I would count that kind of variation.

As for the thing about repaints/reissues of the same character, I wouldn't count it as a name reuse since we're not talking about individual toys, but character names being used for seperate characters. So that would mean the name "Devastator" has never been reused. Just check with TFU.info. Although it has been reused for the Actionmaster and G2 repaint, they're still the same character. And "Constructicon Devastator" is not the exact same as "Devastator". So whether you consider the Universe versions the same guy or not doesn't matter. Same goes for guys like "Jazz" and "Superion".

But that's not to say only guys with "Autobot" or "Constructicon" added to their names haven't been reused. If you consider Classics and TCC Astrotrain to be the same as G1 Astrotrain, then that name hasn't been reused. Same with all the different incarnations of Ravage. If G1, BW, and both Alternators are the same dude, then the name hasn't been reused in my book.

Ahhh, that goes a long to towards explaining that Megatron/Optimus amalgam from the Transformers Generations book. I always wondered about that, and now I know.
He sort of like Fakor...but with Transformers.

Three new names!

I'll go with the Biggies!

Big Daddy
Big Hauler
Big Shot

All micromasters...I think they're overcompensating for something.
