The one thing I have noticed over the years about Transformers G1 vs other cartoons is its ability to make me laugh even when it might not be trying. I opened the the thread to share some of the most funniest moments in the G1 cartoon run. Feel free to share and comment on the ones I have posted.
Moment #1
Starscream has tried to bring a full on assault towards Megatron in the end of S2 by giving life to Bruticus and his Combaticons. The scene I am referring to happens in an episode where I believe Bruticus is fighting Menasor. In the scene there is nothing but a gigantic crater left where Megatron, Bruticus, and Menasor were. Starscream leans over the crater and, his voice trembling like a child, says, "Bruticus...." right before Megatron's hand unexpectingly thrusts out of the whole and grabs Starscream by the throat. Just the way Starscream says "Bruticus" makes me chuckle every time. I really miss Megatron and Starscreams relationship in the G1 series before the movie. I was actually more shocked when Galvatron disposed of him with one shot in the movie as Megatron put up with way worst over the years that should have caused him to kill him a long time ago.
Moment #2
The decepticons getting "drunk" on energon in the Microbots episode. Most G1 fans know this one for sure. This is the funniest scene in G1. It is great how Megatron says the "back on Cybertron" thing as it mirrors what drunks do every time they hit the bottle.
Moment #3
There is an episode in season one where something goes wrong and Megatron is tossing an energon cube up and down randomly in his hand. He then notices the "problem" and throws the cube right at Starscreams face in classic cheapshot fashion. I can't remeber the episode or the exact situation, but I definately remember Starscream getting hit in the face.
Moment #4
This one is not so much as hilarious as it is a dick thing to do, which makes it funny. This scene is the infamous death scene of Optimus Prime in the movie. The specific instance I am referring to is right after Optimus hands the Matrix over to Magnus. Optimus Prime says his dying words, lets out a groan, and turns grey, which is horrifying to a child in itself. Then, as if Hasbro and co did not think it was enough, shows Optimus's head fall to the side as if to confirm his death. Pretty harsh....
Skywarp has fun helping to put Starscream in his place. But wait... Why is he coloured like Thundercracker? -_-; Lol.
