But...but...ah forget it. They're cool in my book. Thats all that matters.
However, I think one day you will come to regret having typed these words and not bought these at this great price.
Seibertron wrote:Of course, there's always the BotCon 2005 exclusives for those of you wanting a more traditional looking robot. However, the prices are quite expensive for both of these (in particular Ratchet).

The Reprolabel upgrade stickers help immensely, here's mine:
They're not for everyone but I like them.

I actually saw a pic of someone's kitbash that did just that. The head popped up somehow above the window to look like the cartoon version. Looked pretty decent to me. Anyone else remember it? I can't seem to find the pics now.
I'll probably end up droping $70 on the two of them and buying the G1 sticker faces for them.

Myself as well. I would love to get the G1 sticker faces too. Do they make them for both Ironhide as well as ratchet? and where does one get them?
out of curiosity, where can I find the Botcon versions of the two? and how much are they?

Hmmm...I wonder if they'll re-lease the Energon repaints under the classic line? If any bots that deserve a classic release is Ironhide and Ratchet....
Sportimus Prime wrote:Dude, even when I was just 8 years old in the early 1980's when those first came out, I knew they were crap. What kind of friggin robot has no head? Okay, ya, I know, some of the diaclones, but still. Yuck. Ironhide and Ratchet got a raw deal for their toy version in the G1 line. I'm am sincerely HOPING that Hasbro does them real justice by coming out with cool Classics versions of those two poor buggers.

Evil FurryCon wrote:Here's my quick fix.=)
Pull off heads from Cybertron Armorhide and Swerve! =)
Swerve's serves as is...with some age wrinkles under the eyes but Armorhide needs heavy coat of white spray,
and a forehead visor cut from thin plastic!
Masking the face with liquid rubber succeeded well, didn't need any touch-up after spraying.
Not quite show accurate but what G1 is.=)
Armorhide head had that stern Ratchet stare anyway..
