Well, Prime could have shot back without fear of hitting the fidgeting little pink idiot. I reckon Prime's normal gun would beat Megatron's improvised tiny purple pistol. Besides, Prime was on his feet, Megatron not. Optimus would have had the upper hand to move in/run for cover/whatever, but was distracted by Hot Rod, and wanted to keep at least one of his troops from harm.

There's not much character development in G1 at all. There are a select few and then there are the others that spend most of their life time cramed in the backround.Prime vs Wild wrote:Sledge wrote:His recklessness got Prime killed, and there was nothing in the film to show he became more mature as it progressed.
I think there was. Hot Rod became the leader of the Autobots before he got the Matrix. Magnus was ready to give up on Junkion and it was Hot Rod that rallyed everyone for the assault on Unicron.
I say "rally" loosely because its just one or two lines, but its something. There's honestly not much character development for anyone in that movie.
Anyway, to answer the question: I prefer Optimus Prime to Rodimus Prime, but I prefer Hot Rod to Optimus.
Saber Prime wrote:Sarri wrote:Question is: Would Prime really have shot Megatron? or would have Megatron been able to reach his gun and shoot Prime?
I think he would have died with or without Hot Rod.
Ding ding ding! We have the correct answer. Hot Rod saw the gun Megatron was reaching for, that's when he jumped in. Kup was standing right near Hot Rod so either he saw the gun too and just didn't care or he's a blind old man.
What's wrong with Perceptor, I mean other than his completly useless alt mode.MagnusPrimal wrote:Saber Prime wrote:Sarri wrote:Question is: Would Prime really have shot Megatron? or would have Megatron been able to reach his gun and shoot Prime?

Optimus had him cold. If Megatron had went for the gun, with no Hot Rod in the way, he's vaped.
However, Hot Rod did not cause Prime's death. Megatron, and the lack of any qualified medical bots, did. I mean, Perceptor? Come on.

The Stunticons were mindless drones to begine with till they were given personalitys by Vector Sigma. I'm preddy sure thoughs were the same cars in both episodes.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:Saber Prime wrote:Tracks for example had one good episode that I actully remember him in and I belive it's when Megatron was stealing cars to be made into the Stuticons. Tracks wasnt in the episode where Megatron creates the Stunticons[ The Key to Vector Sigma].....the episode your thinking of was called "Make tracks" and Meg's was stealing cars in this one to created mindless drones.

I always wondered: Where the hell is the Protectobots? why didn't First Aid show up?
If they had Defensor and Superion there, they might have gotten a bit... better off hand. besides First Aid is the medic, after Ratchet dies (damnit, Ratchet rules, but why the f did they have to kill the awesomeness of doctor-bots?)
