I would have waiting a bit longer if I had known Voyager Springer was on his way (thanks Hasbro), so I now have a mini-copter and no real home for him.

Talking of Ebay, anyone noticed the amount of GDO Springers and FansProject Springers that are appearing, obviously due to everyone upgrading to Generations Voyager Springer!

It's not THAT small. GDO Springer is a Deluxe-scale figure. He'd look like freakin Godzilla among Cyberverse figures. Scale-wise, I'd say he fits in with Scout-class cars like Classics (RTS?) Windcharger.

This Deluxe figure is supposed to represent a big **** off helicopter not a one man mini-copter thus making him really out of scale. The fact he was sold as a Deluxe just doesnt work in that class.

Lets all transform our GDO Springers and sit them alongside Classics Bumblebee and have a jolly good chuckle!

It's funny because one of my reservations about dumping FansProject Springer is because I prefer his shorter stature to Generations!

We are a picky lot and no mistake.

You guys must HATE G1 if you're such sticklers for scale.

I'm glad I'm not as picky as you guys. I wouldn't enjoy the hobby nearly as much if I were that picky.

Its an expensive hobby so being picky is a given!

Speaking for myself, I grew up with the G1 figures which gave me that first love for transforming robots.
These days I wouldnt touch them with yours but my renewed love of Transformers figure came back with Alternators and Classics.

I have the time and income to be very choosey over what I decide to buy and the preference of trying to work towards a unified scale can be frustrating but very rewarding when done properly.

Do you have a problem with the scale issues in the Classics line? Does it bother you that all of the Classics Deluxe seeker molds are out of scale with the Deluxe cars? To be in scale, they would need to be at least Voyager size, if not Leader. In fact, Masterpiece Thundercracker is probably the correct scale for Classics cars.

But then it's horrifically out of scale for robot mode! I try to keep a decent robot mode scale, but even then it really doesn't bug me much, and it's easy enough to make up an excuse on the spot.

For me, it is about how they scale as robots, rather then vehicles. Yes the seekers are a tad small, and bumblebee is a little big, but nothing disastrous. My real issue with springer is that he should be pretty big, but smaller than prime. Also I have my custom Impactor who scales well with defender. Gen. Springer is like a head taller than my impactor - that just won't do. And GDO is too weeny. No, we will never get an entire cast that scale perfectly with each other, but I don't see a problem with trying.
