They were far to different in to cartoon, Blackarachnia needs her own mould.

The Fall of Cybertron Decepticon Data Discs to Autobot Data Discs(and Laserbeak to Ratbat).
Generations Springer to Sandstorm.
Several TF Prime deluxes(Bee, Wheeljack, Arcee, Knockout, Ratchet) to Beast Hunters versions.
TF Prime Arcee to Generations Chromia.
This is just a sampling of the remolds Hasbro has done to make other figures, and they've been getting more extensive lately. Tarantulas would really only require a new chest and head.

shajaki wrote:gotta go with actorro. theyre just too different. besides, the OG tarantulas holds up pretty well if you ask me. go for his BW10th repaint for a spot on rendition.

Discussion about them from a few years ago: http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/legend-of-nara-metamorphs-t72516.php
And a pic from Allspark:
Don't know why that spurned that remembrance, but it did. I never did pick any of them up, but I remember seeing them in stores.
