Well, you have to wonder just how fake the show is, due to Sci-fi's interference.

Personally, the best episodes came from the first season, then in whichever season TAPS traveled to Ireland and investigated.

It's not that I don't trust TAPS, they know their stuff. However, Sci-fi is trying to make a tv show and get money, so I have to wonder, aside from them pulling episodes where they find absolutely nothing, if there is a shady side to the show, specifically the evidence found when they use that new-fangled meter where they were able to "talk" to a spirit.

As for personal paranormal experiences. I have a shitload of them, very few deal with actual ghosts, most deal with spirits of a non-human nature, faeries, pixies, imps, goblins, demons, elementals, the elements, and the like.

Considering I'm a nordic shaman, I'm working towards making things dealing with the paranormal, supernatural, and the occult my profession.

I gotta say, every sing;e experience I've had, has been completely awesome.

If things were faked you possibly could tell by Jasons reaction

I don't think Aci Fi doe anything worse then play music over them hearing noises

Jason and Grant have talked to Sci Fi about the music and nothing has happened

Most Haunted became crap to me when I seen footage of Yvette supposedly tryin to communicte with something and she tapped her foot on a pot and the camera caught it during a live show

There is a new one on the Travel Channesl called Ghost Adventures.Tjhes guys actually have taped aparitions

They began airing that earlier in the year over here, I started watching it from the beginning but eventually gave up on it.

Did the show actually improve over time?

It did, the episode with the armory, has some of the best evidence.

A lighthouse in Florida had some great evidence.

But Ireland had some of the best evidence;

Norse Shaman(only way I can even remotely describe what I am, plus it has a nice ring to it)

and thats a very good question, to me, there really isn't that much of a difference between a pixie and an imp. I just use the two terms since people generally know what I'm talking about.

The only thing I've ever seen come close to what I can describe as an imp, is a small two-foot tall brownish creature, leathery looking skin, likes to play games and generally @#$% with you. Only ever saw one of these things, 2am I was watching the repeat of Adult Swim, catch something out of the corner of my eye. I turn and look to see what it is, theres a little brown thing staring at me from around the corner, then it began to play a game of "peek-a-boo" with me, while I just stared with a "holy crap this is awesome" type grin on my face. It peeked around and disappeared from view for like 10 minutes before it stopped completely.

As for a pixie, I'm not really sure, never encountered one myself, at least not that I'm aware.

Summoning elementals is a little retarded, there really is no one way to go about doing it, since throughout the ages a lot of people have done different things.

The one way I've actually read on how to summon an elemental, aside form your usual ritual, with candles, incense and crap like that, you have to prove yourself to the elements. For fire, for instance, they suggest you brave a burning house, in order to tame fire.

Yeah, I haven't tried summoning elementals, as I'm not stupid enough to walk into a burning house yelling idiotic crap like "I've bested you fire" or something equally silly.

However, I have come across a couple of elementals, one was in July(I think, it was summer). I tend to go out around the full moon, makes any chance of running across something paranormal that little bit better, and with the right weather conditions, I don't have to worry about having a flashlight on all the time.

Anyway, I was out with a group of friends, we had decided to go to a place called The Children's Garden at about 1am, the garden is located on the grounds of my university near the St Joe River. We had walked around and came to a gazebo they have. We stood around for bit when I got a odd "unwelcome" tingle in my spine. Those types of tingles, in fact tingles in my spin or across my body don't happen unless there is something supernatural going on, large enough to the point where I can sense it, and I'm like a brick, but I'm getting better about picking up on things.

Anyway, we start walking out of the pavilion towards the river, I stop as the tingle gets a lot more tingly, almost to the point where it feels like the pins and needles of a sleeping limb kind of tingle. I'm just looking around at this point, I stop at a tree, and I see this large shadow, looks like a shadow from a person, just emerge from the tree itself, the thing was about 10 feet tall and just stays there against the tree. The other people in my group are looking at this as well asking what the hell it is.

After a couple of minutes we decide to call it a night, as whatever is out there doesn't really want us to be there. The tingle subsides as we hit the parking lot, and the most I could figure whatever it was we saw was a nature elemental, tree spirit, tree guardian, whatever, that didn't like someone in the group, or just didn't want us there.

The Elemental in that castle they investigated is one scary story

I had seen years ago a special on the Elemental that haunts that place

It supposed to have looked like a Sheep or goat with a mans head

Very nasty thing to which would put it more in line of being a Demon instead of a ghost

Well it really depends on how you view things. The elemental seems more territorial, only acting and being violent when someone is in what it believes to be it's area. It'll stay in the castle and won't bother anyone after they leave.

A demon on the other hand, will just continually make someones life a living hell, no matter where they are.

They can be demon-like, but they aren't necessarily an evil spirit.

Plus the whole animistic look of demons has been around for ages, creatures like Satyr, the greek God Pan, a lot of the egyptian gods/goddesses were influences for what christians/catholics and whoever else based what they believe a demon looks like.

I watched the first two seasons of the show, but not anything after. Not that I strated not liking the show, but priorities rearranged in my life.

I think I stopped around the time that guy who got kicked out was let back in. Got annoyed that every time he opened his mouth he said "toxic relationship." He's in Ghost Hunters Intl., which I found less interesting for some reason. They should put him back with the main group.

Never had a paranormal encounter. Wish I would, but then again, I'd probably be freaked the ---- out.

I didn't hate Brian. I actually liked him more than the other cookie cutter members of the team (which seemed to be everyone except the two heads and the guy who moved into Brian's place when Brian quit). it's just a coincidence that I stopped watching around that time... and I did hate how he'd say "toxic relationship" about twenty times an episode. :P

But just to ask a question to your experts mostly Senior Huego.

I once had a strange encounter, I was at a youth hostel with a group of pupils, we were being trained to become conflict supervisors or what ever. Well I was in bead and fast asleep as I woke up for some reason I don't know why I woke up but I just did cos I just thought it was necessary When there it is floating over my bead. I can't say what it was but it was there it was kinda like light it didn't really have a colour but it wasn't light it didn't create anything that light would make it was just acting as if it were set alight. It was kinda forming into something resembling a human and I swear it had an expression of surprise on it's face then it just faded away and after like 3 seconds was completely gone without any sign of ever existing.

Have any idea what it was? A Ghost or something?
Bye the way I didn't have any feeling of danger and actually felt quite safe and fell back asleep.

It's quite possible that what you saw was actually apart of whatever dream you may have been having.

When the body and mind are asleep it enters the REM state. What the mind does to the body is shut it down, have it enter a state of temporary paralysis that way we don't end up acting out our dreams while we sleep.

Now for some reason if you wake up during this period, a couple things can happen. Your body doesn't wake up instantly, and it feels like you're being held down by an unseen force and you can't move, this is due to the mind paralyzing your body. A lot of people attribute this phenomenon to a ghostly encounter or an alien abduction.

What can also happen, is if you wake up during REM, your mind may still be experiencing a dream, so you may be conscious but your mind is still sending whatever dream your having to your whatever the thingy is, eyes or something.

So you end up hallucinating for a few seconds, or for a minute or two. This combined with the body-paralysis is one of the ways people may think they're being abducted, they wake up in the middle of a dream, so they think aliens paralyzed their bodies and are proceeding to shove goodies up their rear.

Honestly, I'm not sure what you saw, but it sounds like your mind was still dreaming for those few seconds while you saw this figure.

So, for Blast Cannon I dug out the book I have that talks about summoning the elementals.

The book is called

The Occult Sciences by one Arthur Edward Waite

"It is sufficient for our purpose to state--what is very generally known--that the gour official elements have from time immemoial been supposed to swarm with a variety of, on the whole, sub-human intelligences, who are formally grouped into four broad species. The air is inhabited by the amiable race of Sylphs, the sea by the delightful and beautiful Undines, the earth by the industrious race of swarthy Gnomes, and the fire by the exalted and glorious nation of Slamanders, who are supreme in the elementary hierarchy. There is a close analogy in the natures of all these intelligences with the more lofty constitution of certain angelical choirs, for in the "Compendious Apology for the Society called Rosicrucian" written by Robert Fludd, it is stated that the Seraphim, Virtues, and Powers are of a fiery character, the Cherubim are terrestrial, the Thrones and Archangels are aquatic, while the Dominations and Principalities are aerial."

and here is how to "become the king of the occult elements"

To dominate the Elementary Spirits, and become thus the king of the occult elements, it is necessary, says the last of the Frnech initiates, to experience the four trials of antique initiation; and, as these initiations exist no longer, they must be supplied by analogous processes; as, for instance, by exposing oneself with courage in a burning house, by crossing a precipice on a plank or a trunk of a tree; by ascending a perpendicular mountain in a storm; and by vigorously plunging through a cascade or dangerous whirpool. He who is afraid of the water will never reign over the Undines; he who shrinks from the flames will never command Salamanders; let him who is subject to vertigo leave the Slyphs in peace, and forbear from irritating the Gnomes, for inferior spirits will obey no power which has not asserted its supremacy in their own individual element.

When courage and indomitable energy have acquired this incontestable power, the Logos of will-force must be imposed on the elements by particular consecrations of air, fire, earth, and water, this being the indispensable beginning of all magical operations.

The air is exorcised by the sufflation of the four cardinal points, and the recitation of the PRayer of the Sylphs and the following formula:- The Spirit of God moved upon the water, ad breathed into the nostrils of man the breath of life. Be Michael my leader and be Sabtabiel my servant, in the name and by the virtue of light. Be the power of the word in my breath, and I will govern the spirits of this creature of Air, and by the will of my soul, I will restrain the steeds of the sun, and by the though of my mind, and by the apple of my right eye. I exorcise thee, O creature of Air, by the Pentagrammaton, and in the name of Tetragrammaton, wherein are steadfast will and well directed faith. Amen. Sela. So be it

This continues for awhile, going through the rituals for water, fire, and earth. Like I said, I haven't tried these at all.

But the book is a scientific look at the actual spiritual parts of religion, from what I gather through reading it. It's a scientific look at the stuff that actually works.

Don't care.

Fact of the matter is, you're a kid.

Kids tend to do stupid things.

Kids who show interest in the paranormal, tend to do even dumber things.

Not just you, I singled you out, because you started the thread.

But this goes for, like I said before, all kids.

Sounds like an aparition forming

Remember these where just people and some get lonely and want to let you know they are there and there are the mischivious ones who like to scare

What you will see most of the time is them as shadows

most people report thay have seen shadows.I think when they are in there shadow state they don't have enough energy to completly form looking like the people they once were

Or it was everything Senor Hugo said on the subject, about waking up while still in REM.

I don't think it was REM, I could still move I actually tried to touch it. Plus if it were part of my dream back then it would have been Pizza as I was looking at Pizza at the moment I woke up. But Well if it was just an hallucination, oh well just proves my life is boring.

Well it is possible that it was a ghost that manifested itself, one of your guardians probably.

However the mind is a very tricky thing, especially when it comes to sleep, dreaming and what not.

For dreams the mind likes to change it's mind faster than an old person with Alzheimers, you'll have several upon several dreams throughout the night, most lasting within only a couple minutes.

But you'll only remember one if any.

If there was more to go on, like if you recognized the lady, or had seen her manifest before somewhere while you were awake, I could give you a better idea on what it may be.

But from what I got, it's most likely your mind.

Of course there are things you could do to find out what it was, if it was a guardian of yours, there's a good bet you may see her again. Try meditating on a daily basis, breathing techniques, just focus on openings yourself up to the paranormal and crap like that.

It'll take awhile but as you become more open, not only your mind but your body and energy as well, things will start to notice you more, and you'll start to notice them.

Other than that, don't you live in like New Zeland? Go to the woods, grab a flashlight, a camera and something to defend yourself with in case of an animal attack, and have fun. This time of year, there is a fair number of more tricksy creatures(imbs, goblins) roaming around. When the sun goes down, keep a level head, don't let your mind get the better of you and you'll start to notice some awesome stuff.
