So was a few weeks ago while i was at work my wife asked me to pick a certain thing up from work on my way home cause she had a feeling, and needed a second confirmation.


I got it said positive so we went to the doctor to make it 100% certain.

Yep, she is pregnant. About 2 and a half months now. and i have to say i am so excited and at the same time so scared of the whole thing.

If you havnt guessed this is our first. The will i be a good father thought keeps comeing across my mind. there is a history of really crappy fathers on my side to say the least.

My father sucked, his father did, my mothers father well i wont even get into the BS involved with him. aunts husbands not much better, my brother well he thinks he is and his kids love him but i see his anger issues ariseing all the time and i think the kids are starting to now that they are getting older. my Uncle was a good father but died young.

Im so affriad ill be like one of the bad ones. I really want to be a good father.
To me that means being open and honest. truely open and honest. i want him/her to be able to come to me with anything and talk to me about it and i want to have the strength to be able to help with it. Not flip out and make it worse.

My family is so scattered and uncomunatative, I dont want that for my kid/kids. After my uncle passed i had no one to go and talk to. I want him/her/them to feel comfortable coming to me and talking about whatever it may be.

Im also looking forward to all the things we will get to do together and be able to share. zoo's parks, circus ect.

Hopefully pass on a certain love for robots that i have

Already everyone is asking are you hopeing for a boy or a girl....the honest answer is i dont care. all i pray for at night is a healthy and happy baby.

and damn everyone has an opinion on the name for both boy and girl. we have a boys name set, girls name we have a first but are still debating on a middle name.

Boy will be William Tipton, Tipton after my wifes father.. william T. HAH Star Trek Next Gen for any who may not get it.

Girl will be Wynter. One of my favorite Star Wars Characters. Middle still eludes us...i was trying for Fell to add a game of thrones flare to it but wife wont agree to it...oh well.

Sorry i know that was long winded especially for me, but had to get it off my chest since i dont talk about stuff like this and being able to do it like this helps alot.

So thanks in advance for listening to my worries. And heres hoping we got a healthy future / coming in April.

I don't have children, but I can't imagine a bigger joy in a person's life than a child. As for your family history, don't worry about it. You make your own fortune and take care of your own family. That's all that matters. It's good to remember the bad things so you can learn from them and not make the same mistakes, but you can't let them scare you. So look forward to being a good rolemodel and always being there for your child, and make sure you're financially capable of providing for him/her. I also hope your child will be healthy and happy. And of course s/he will have a love of shape shifting plastic toys.

Just be a good dad according to the ways of your God, and do what is best. Been in toxic family situation myself. Raise him/her well!
