So this ^
I've got Hegemon and I also have every single variant/version of the WfC Megatron mold. If Voyager size is not a requirement and neither is G1 cartoon accuracy and you're just looking for straight up which is the superior figure all around, then Has/Tak wins by miles. It's one of my favorite molds of all time and if they ever release any new variants/versions of that mold in different colors, I'll own them as well (so far the best are the 2 Takara versions, both of which have paint jobs and plastic colors that will make you cry because of just how epic they look compared to their drab Hasbro counterparts).

YES - I have both the United & Darkside versions of WFC Megatron, and they are GLORIOUS.
I've thought about picking up the regular Hasbro Generations version again (I sold the couple I had last year), but that white, though game accurate, doesn't quite do it for me. Gunmetal & Black, all the way!

Alex Jones wrote:Assuming financial barriers are not an issue, which of the two is better, Hegemon or WFC Megatron (any deco)?
megatronus wrote:I don't agree with the premise that one needs to be better than the other; they accomplish very, very different things.
I've owned several Hegemon figures, but sold them all due to what I considered poor QC. Those were all from the initial run; I've been told that subsequent runs held up better. What I can say from my experience is that Hegemon is an awesome figure, at least in theory, and serves a G1-esque purpose. His transformation is finicky and frustrating, but you get a gun, so.
WFC Megatron is great - relatively simple, beautifully Cybertronian, and very accurate to his game character model. But he's a deluxe. If he and WFC Optimus were voyager-sized, they would absolutely be my Classics faction leaders.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.
