Just because there's a petition for it, doesn't make it true.
Exactly.
If she were a good teacher I don't think the petition would have even gotten off the ground. I know students talk **** about teachers all the time, but I've never seen a movement to get one fired before. She must have done more than give out a few F's to get that kind of response.

We're talking about high school kids. They couldn't act logically even if they were all Vulcans.

Thats only because we understand that everything can't be explained logically.

That's making an awful big assumption.

Holy crap, my assistant prinicpal got arrested! Maybe school will be canceled tomorrow! Ooh, or maybe exams next week will be postponed until after we get back from christas break! My God, the possibilities are endless!
Or we will all go back to school tomorrow like nothing ever happened..but thats no fun!!!

No, but someone in your school did. Either way it still adds to my point. Similarly, you were cheering that someone is losing their job over a hit-and-run DUI. You never did explain what he did to earn that kind of animosity.

Being in my late 30's I have to agree with shadow.. I look at some of the things I did and said back then (when I was a teen) and wonder what in the hell was I thinking.
With age comes wisdom (for those that want to learn from life's experiences that is.. Some just barrel through life and never learn their lesson or get wiser).

To build on what CB said, I too can look back to when I was a teenager and wonder what the hell I was thinking, but I can also look back to when I was 25 think the same thing. Life is all about growing and learning from our mistakes. There was one teacher at high school who used fear and intimidation to break us, once we were broken he'd teach us. Every kid who had him hated and feared him. But I tell you what, when I got a new teacher for the same subject, I realised just how a good of a teacher he was. He may have terrified the **** out of me but I got my best grades with him, and to this day I have nothing but respect for him.

I'm not "personally" cheering him on. I just thought something exciting would happen at school the next day, which it did not. No one said anything at all bout it. Except I heard some students talking about it.

That is a big assumption, not all teenagers are slaves to hormones.

And you don't read correctly, I said SOME.
Ok then how about 99.5% of them. You forget I have a 17 year old daughter, I see how these teens act and damn near all of them are run by hormones and "ego"..
Sorry but I call it like I see it, this is NOT my opinion, it is what I observe.

You started a thread exclaiming how happy you were that someone was in a hit-and-run and got a DUI.

I already told you, I was excited about there being a possibility of somthing exciting happening the next day... like the military showing up at my school and blowing stuff up.

That's exactly my point. You acted on impulse, you created this thread instead of looking up what would actually happen.
SlyTF1 wrote:It's not that serious. I didn't really expect that to happen at all. But when do you ever get a chance to say that "my principal was arrested"? I have no one else to tell, so I put it on the internet.
