I'm sure this question has been asked before but I thought just so people who are thinking about getting figure a clear answer I would ask again. I was just wonder what people think of the takara encore figures. Are they the same as the reissue figures just cheaper.

I have Encore OP and he Rox!

I had a KO OP but I gave him to my nephew. Gotta get 'em hooked young.

I was debating on getting the KO OP out there but the encore is better, cheaper, and the tampo painted

on the shoulder was the icing on top. I had a G1 OP BND, but the

symbol always came off of the shoulder.

I have pre-ordered Ratchet and Ironhide. So I can't comment on those yet.

So far I have Encore Megatron, and I love him. Starscream and Prime (Convoy) are on the way. So far I think the only thing I won't like is the pre-printed symbols on Prime & Starscream. Less so on Prime. I just like the authenticity and old-skool fun of putting on stickers. XD

I hope they didn't put the decepticon symbols on Starscream so they're upside down in bot mode... I hate that. Anime accurate, I know, but I hate it.

I have the Encore Starscream and I love him (I got the JPN one without the long missles). His arms are a little loose, but I'm assuming it's just a flaw in my particular figure. My cousin in law has the orginal G1 Starscream and there didn't seem to be any difference whatsoever.

Oh, and his stickers weren't applied.

^Really? I saw one in-store and I thought they printed the Decepticon symbols onto his wings. Or maybe I was looking at a different reissue edition. Or are you talking about Transformers Collection Starscream?

I think the looseness of the arms is inherent to the mold, my Thundercracker is the same way.

I ordered Starscream off Ebay, and IIRC, the auction was for a "Takara Reissue Starscream". I don't have the box near me because I'm at my mom's house at the moment. I'm pretty sure it's the Encore version though, and I haven't applied any stickers on the figure because I'll eventually put him back in the box for display purposes.

Thanks alot but I end up getting reissue God Ginrai for $59.99 plus $8.00 shiping and handling. I have always liked powermaster optimus prime every since I was little, and everytime I have gone look for either powermaster optimus prime or reissue god ginrai it was always over a $100 so when I saw him sale for $59.99 I couldn't pass it up. Plus you can't beat seven different modes which is what I under stand he has.

Bought encore Megs. Came with some visible chrome scratches, some finger prints on megs chrome, his chrome gun, and chrome sword. When I opened it and it came factory sealed too. Also the click peg is too tight. Got to push apart arms real hard when transforming from p-38 to robot. Afraid of breaking click above shoulders in the process. I try not to close them together. Cause of it. But what I like is that his groin folds are real tight. Even when put close to the tigger mid section in bot mode. Hiding the trigger. A nice improvement.
