Welcome to the General Discussion area where just about anything goes! This area is designed to discuss all matters and does not necessarily have to be Transformers related. Please keep topics relevant.

A lot of stuff happened during the Clone Wars. It was a huge, Galaxy-wide conflict with plenty of political intrigue and the Jedi at the top of their game. They had more going on during the Clone Wars than any other war in the series.

Chaoslock wrote:Plus, I don't like how mainstream characters are forced into the episodes. Can't there be more episodes without Rex/Padmé/Anakin/Ahsoka/Obi-Wan?

They're the main characters. Most fiction tends to focus on the main character(s).

Chaoslock wrote:Mara's death was sad, but I didn't feel it as forced.

She died because Jacen used Mind Trick on her, a power which isn't supposed to effect Jedi. It's not a matter of overall power, either, it's just not supposed to work on Jedi or other strong willed people. (Cad Bane, for example)

Which goes to show, once and for all, Karen Traviss doesn't know jack about Star Wars. I fear for Gears of War and Halo. It seems she's working on those franchises as now.

She is. And from what I've been able to tell, she's pretty much ported her RC writing style over there.

I'm half asleep now, but.... was the latest episode real?

I mean... the episode was about mandalorian kids getting their Ice Tea vendors watered up with poison that was brought in with spaceships and the smugglers bribing their way in. And the cause of this is not to poison the kids, but to take their lunch money... Wait, what?
I don't understand the episode financially, either the kids must be millioners for this to work, or the cost of interplanetary travel must be dirt cheap.
Also, I hate how the planet Mandalore is depicted in Clone Wars... *sigh* Lucas better step down and give the directors' seat to the EU novel writers (although I'd prefer Timothy Zahn, but any one of them would write better stories than Lucas)

I enjoy the series. It definately aimed alot younger than previous Star wars stuff but that hasn't stopped me watching it. Good having it fill some gaps between movies and introduce new characters too.

At first I liked it, but this season is killing me and putting me too sleep.

I still can't understand why there is such a feeling of awesomeness and fan love for Cad Bane.
He is a terrible bounty hunter and a moron.

Well, so was Boba Fett. If you pay attention, Boba Fett never actually did anything in the movies.

Well, he did figure out Han's trick, and tipped off the Empire to be at Bespin before the Falcon showed up.

Mostly though, Boba's rep was made in the Christmas Special. That and the whole "No disintegrations!" warning from Vader.

First off, there was no Holiday Special and nothing you can say or do will convince me otherwise I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALALALA.

Second, he gave the Empire a tip, big whoop. So did Fredo Corleone, and he was an idiot. But then Fredo wasn't taken down by a lucky shot from a blind man.

I see you haven't changed any shadowman....

Since I have read most anything to do with the fett's, either jango or boba.
I have paid a lot of "ATTENTION" too them.

How was Boba a terrible bounty hunter or a moron?
