And why does this remind me of your other thread on "how do you think entertainment will change in 50 years?"

That is pretty low.

Ok, I see what you're doing. You were given a project on how certain things may be in the future, medical and entertainment wise so far. So you're using us for ideas to try and think of things that you may have overlooked or not have thought about initially.
And I do agree with DR, they are some of the most imaginative topics we've had in a while.
So, lets see. In 50 years, I think things may be worse off than they are. We rely on so many medications, meds for headaches, meds for cold and cough, and we rely on medication for things that really don't need it. Meds to make people happy, meds to make people concentrate, meds to keep people calm.
Soon I wouldn't doubt we'll be seeing these in patch form. "Happy Happy" patches, street pharmacies will be more and more common, probably regulated by the bigger companies.

I would predict that spinal injuries will be treatable, amputees will have more options open to them, and brain damage will have more treatments.
