Whether it is new or used it's new to you and a part of your fold now. Most likely this new addition will be like putty in your eager hands right after purchase or perhaps you will get it home, set it down and enjoy it at the right time. Regardless how you choose your now focused on this new TF but for how long?

I don't think we can make time for every single TF we own especially if the collection is large. I guess I could if I really try but honestly even for those who own twice as many TFs than me (and there are no doubt) it would be pretty damn time consuming. Unless of course your collection is fairly small then yeah sure okay then.

I guess for me what ever I recently bought stays near me in the area of that room until I decide what to do with it. Example, a couple of months ago I picked up Targetroids Megs and there it was within reach for weeks. I picked it up and fooled with it just last night. So considering all this what say you, does that new TF have YOU in it's grips or not so? Do you simply set it in your collection and forget it for a while? Do your attention spans all last about the same for every new addition you get? Have some lasted to this very day?

Just something that came to mind today.

For new stuff I'd guess about a week. Sad, but true. It's the ones I pick up afterwards that are the great ones. Recent stuff like voyager Prime and leader Starscream are a joy to play around with.

There's also the category for TF's I just really love looking at. The ROTF Prime and Jetfire combo and recently I'm eyeballing my G1's again. They are just great stuff to look at.

For me it all depends on how good the figure is and how much free time I have at that period. I usually open a figure at a period when I have plenty of time to enjoy it.

On Christmas Day I opened up Generations Dinobot and Cheetor. I played with them solidly for an hour, maybe two but since they aren't very good they have hardly been touched them since. They've gone onto the Beast shelf where they are admired. I do spend quite a bit of time just looking at my collection, say, whilst eating.

On December 15th (my birthday) I bought leader Ironhide and since about an hour afterwards have been modifying and painting him so he's had a vast amount of attention because he's so awful but within my capabilities of fixing.

MP-10 had days of solid play cos he's cool. He's been shelved but taken down for transformation and reposing quite often.

Quite similar to nemesis destron, I usually just transform the figure couple of times, and that figure will be on my work table for about 1-2 weeks before I decide to put him away. Recent examples of all the FE stuffs I've got, but I still take them from time to time from their display and 'play' with them once in a while.

On my end with attention spans... really depends on the figure. Some I playing with quite often, others spend most of their life decorating my room and hallway. None have been hidden away so I'm always seeing and enjoying them in one way or the other.

With the exception of a few, the vast majority of my (opened) Transformers have been transformed and played with at some point, generally when opened but not always. Sometimes I just pick one up out of the blue and mess around with 'em.

Recently finished Herc and I still mess with him every day.

Usually a week or so.

After I get another new figure.

For example, I bought TFP Deluxe Cliffjumper a week ago. Then I got Soundwave, and poor Cliffjumper was pushed aside. The samething happened to Soundwave when I got Wheeljack 5 days later.
