Bayverse is just a phase. Transformers not only changes slightly every year, it changes noticeably every five years. It's A-OK not to like this year's style or aesthetic, or even a couple of years in a row - eventually something will come along that will appeal again.

I'm 31, I still collect. It's one of the few things I truly take pleasure in. TF Prime looks promising and I don't think HasTak is going to abandon RTS/Generations/Universe or whatever they call it next, especially since we still don't have a decent Soundwave or Shockwave, both of which are featured in the movies, thus increasing the probability that they will get some classics style love

I'm 31 and getting back into collecting. I started collecting when I was 22. I'm really hating myself cause I got rid of a good hunk of my collection last yr cause I hadn't been into TF's for over a year and here I am, getting back into them and my collection is like so small now. I'm just starting to go and check out the TF aisle at the stores and it feels good. I've missed collecting. Just have to tell myself to not over do it, lol.

Hell, my father is 71 yrs old and still collect G-scale model trains. I'm 33, married with two kids and plan on collecting for a lot longer.

I really dont think there really is an age for a person to be to collect transformers, iam 19 years old and ive been collecting since i first saw beast wars and beast machines, which was like probably wen i was 6. My brother introduced me to g1 and ever since them ive been collecting i have alot of g1 figure but one of my favorites in my collection is my originl optimus prime not reissue either, also my decepticon triple changers all three of them, ive seen all the g1 cartoons and i have a pretty big collection. And till this day iam still collecting and i hope to still collect over the years.

I really don't think there is a specific cut-off age. People nearing 40 are still collecting Star Wars toys.

There's no cut off age. I had a girlfriend who's grandmother still collected dolls. My friends father collected die cast cars till the day he died. If you enjoy it then there is no age limit.

I like Transformers, in the same way that I like coffee or football. Just because I'm getting older, doesn't mean I like coffee any less or I'll start disliking football, and its the same with Transformers.

It does help that it's generally easier to locate and buy toys as an adult in the 2010s than a kid in the 1980s. Internet and independent income ftw.

My family thinks im the oddball because of my collecting. I don't think so. Im surrounded by what i love, even when i work. To that extent, i could care less what ANYONE thinks about it.

I think thats the attitude you gotta have. Even when i was a partying teenager, i bought my friends to my house and i'd have shelves and shelves of G1 stuff sittin around and its a hobby that i don't think will ever be "uncool".

People who consider being "too old" to do anything already have one foot in the grave because they've succumbed to "drag syndrome". That's what happens to people who get old and loose the child like wonder and creative side that allows people to enjoy hobbies that not everyone else is into. Some people collect stamps. Others collect coins. I collect Transformers and I don't need anyone's agreement or approval to do it. I don't care if anyone disagrees with it. I'm doing my thing and enjoying it, irregardless of anyone's opinion. As stated, do your thing and enjoy it. There is no "age" at which you should not be enjoying any hobby that doesn't violate laws or hurt people and last I checked, there was nothing illegal or dangerous about collecting transformers.

That's right. Do what you enjoy. Your family may not agree with it, but who cares. You don't need their approval to assert your individuality. Followers usually have problems with people who aren't followers. You're not a follower. Neither am I. I don't think anyone here is. I thank God for a place I can go to talk about my hobby with people who enjoy it as well. You are not alone. All of us here collect Transformers for a reason. It's our thing, and thanks to the three movies, it's a hobby that has gained new followers.

YEEEE_HAAAAAA!!!! I had G1 Starscream among my G1 collection in the late 80's. I have SOOO much catching up to do. I'm going to have to become a rock star to afford all the guitars, amps, muscle cars, and transformers I'm going to collect. :-)
