I wouldn't have a problem swimming there.

As for the reason you don't get swept over, theres a natural rock wall at the edge of the waterfall that keeps people from going over, but only between September and October, otherwise I'd assume the water level is too high for the wall to stop people.

Now, I would be weary about swimming here.

I had a moment of virtually falling over the edge when I saw those pictures! 8-}

There is another one of my fears, a fear of heights but I love to swim but not right next to a fricken ten thousand foot drop! #-o
