(please note I don't think you're lying or anything, I research vehicle accidents so it's a curiosity to me) Get better soon, and hopefully somebody will help to hook you up with SS and Jazz.

yeah my leg is just fractured the reason my collar bone broke is because i had my elbow like on the window and my hand on my chin so like the impact forced my collar bone backwards it is hard to explain but thanks for the suppost

You'd be surprised how much force a "minor" car hit can give you. I've been in one and I was surprised too, and I was seat belted and still had knee and neck injuries, very little to the cars.

That looks like a hard hard hit with one or the other going at a good speed.

At least you can walk alway from it, well figurativly speaking.

Hope you have a speedy recovery man hang in there.

You might wanna get you head checked out then, there might be internal damage that hasnt shown itself yet but could get worse as time goes on unless treated.

yeah, i can't imagine someone whose been through that accident, get some broken bones (man, are they painful, from what you have described) and still, go online and have a fine discussion with the people here.

wow, not having airbags really suck. you're blessed you managed to get through that without 'em.

question: are you bedridden and typing on a lappie, or did the hospital already release you and you're on you PC typing away?
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

Ouch man, that's brutal. I'm also sorry to hear that your sister was badly injured too. Is a parent or someone going to come stay with you guys for a while?

Also just something I'm curious about, you mention in your Original post that it an out of state driver, but would it have really been any better or worse had it been an instate driver, from both a practical and insurance/legal standpoint. Also did the driver of the other car receive injuries? Just curious.

You know, that Impala did a lot better job taking that hit than that Civic. Japanese cars are like tin cans.

Very sorry to see this has happen to you my friend. I hope you get well soon, and that everything turns out alright for you. I would also take the advice of the other poster on this thread about a lawyer. You'd be surprized what you can get out of things like this.

You should get more than enough money to buy a new car and still have a decent amount of cash left over. I got into a minor accident 3 years ago, got rear ended by a lady who wasn't paying attention. Very little damage to my trunk but I did spend 3 months going to the chiropractor. I walked away with a new bumper on my truck and $8000 for pain, suffering, and inconvenience. Make sure to play up that you're a college student and it has been difficult getting too and from class and really uncomfortable sitting in class and you should do just fine.

That is so all of that force that trashed the car does not go directly into your body.
