I want to get a Voyager(s), but... not worth it??
Heres the deal. I want to get Voyagers. They look tight, like Ratchet, Ironhide, etc. But... come one, 20 bucks? That is the price of TWO Deluxes. I dont see what makes a Voyager worth double a Deluxe. I mean, its bigger... possibly a little more to its transformation. But I really dont think its worth another 10 bucks. What do you think? I wouldnt mind maybe 15 bucks... but 20 dollars... a;sdk;alskf

if you don't think they are worth the price then don't buy them. they exist to somewhat maintain size integrity, and if you seriously are happy with just a bunch of puny deluxes for a collection, then thats just weird.

no, i am NOT happy with puny deluxes, thats why i said i WANT Voyagers. I WANT THEM!!! I just feel they are a little overpriced. I think 15 dollars would be enough for a Voyager... i never said i DONT want a Voyager because of its price or anything.

the voyagers are great toys and do represent their size well and tend to have more complex features. I guess deluxes and voyagers are an easy purchase, leader class is difficult for me but I still like to get them, they are just lower on the priority.

Well, the Voyagers are about twice the size of the Deluxe figures, so yes, they're worth it. Target has a sale for them at a low-low price of just $17.99.

The Voyager transformations are often more complex than their Deluxe counterparts, and they do have a larger bulk.
Ironhide is one of my favourite Movie figures, mainly because his size allows a better Transformation, and more detailing to be used.
US$20 is a good price to pay for the figures. People in Australia and New Zealand pay the equivalent of about US$38 and people in the UK pay anywhere from about US$40 upwards.

I've bought Starscream and Blackout and plan to buy Ironhide and Ratchet tomorrow while they still have their sale prices.
So yeah, they are good - abit over priced but good.
Roll on Voyager Bonecrusher & Megatron!
I wonder if any other characters will get the voyager treatment? Some original characters from the videogame or something might be cool.

Well this question is really up to you. If you think its a waste of time, then its a waste of time. If you think 2 Deluxes are better than a Voyager, then get 2 Deluxes. But if you think a Voyager is better then get a Voyager. If I was to decide it really depends on what Voyager and Deluxe you were getting.

I think 20 bucks is pretty good. Down here we have to pay around $36 bucks for a Voyager, and $18 or so for a Deluxe. And thats just Walmart. Go into the specialized Toy Stores and they go up a bit more.
20 is fine for the complexity and detail of a Voyager. Except Voyager Megatron, he's definitely not worth it.

I think that Voyagers are well worth it for the most part. You're paying for scale, more plastic, better transformations, and better playability.
Basic-Deluxe-Voyager-Ultra-Leader-Supreme pricepointing has been the rule for a long time now.(Although Hasbro seems to have given up on Ultras due to their tendency to warm shelves, and there are very few actual Supeme toys available from older lines. Bigger and more expensive=less production numbers.)
It makes sense to have toys that are available to all income levels. Just be smart with your money, research before making a purchase, and look for sales. You won't be let down, the toys are worth it.

I really don't like paying $35 Canadian after taxes for them, so I a) don't buy much since I don't like most of them (I only have Vector Prime, Classics Prime and Classics Jetfire) or b) wait for sales. When Movie Ironhide goes on sale, you can bet I'll be buying him, but I really don't want to pay 35 for the figure. To put things into perspective, 20th Prime only cost me $50.
If you like a figure, then get him if you want, or wait for a sale. See if someone you know has the figure and check it out, pose it, transform it, see if you think it's worth the price.

The voyagers IMO are well worth the 20 bucks. They seem better made than the deluxes and have more bulk to them. However, Blackout should be made as a leader class figure so that they can have some semblance of scale with the other existing figures.
How awesome would that be if Blackout was to scale? Talk about an easy $40 to spend on that one. No problem there for me if they make one.

Right. They are a business afterall. I don't feel so bad after buying Ratchet now. Besides him being pretty cool.
