With empire, everyone's at peace. No planet would dare attack another planet, or they'd get a death star welcoming committee. Nonproductive planets like Alderan (what sort of wusses have no weapons? come on...) can be culled from the herd without wishy-washyness.

Megatron wants what is best for the universe: empire. He's seen the Autobot way of doing things, and knows that IT DOES NOT WORK. Period. The Autobot way of running Cybertron put it into the dark ages, drained it of energon, and would have Cybertronians begging other planets for energy.

No way. Megatron is certainly evil, very evil. What you described there is evil, tyranny itself is a form of evil. If you think that blowing up Alderaan was a justifiable choice on the part of Grand Moff Tarkin I hope you never go into politics. =X

OK, does anyone object to me hurting the next person who tries to tell us the Decepticons aren't evil? Because, like, you know, when we have THE WRITERS POINTBLANK TELLING US THEY'RE EVIL, it's a little hard TO ARGUE! And the crack about "Peace through Tyranny" means Megatron wants peace by eradicating everything, duh. And he's fully aware of what tyranny is. And attacking and killing things isn't very PEACEFUL. A peaceful planet wouldn't have weapons.

Seriously, trying to argue with something writers tell is is like me trying to say that the sun is an off black colour.

Well, there was this one episode from Armada (Hey, it could've been worse) which focused on the Decepticons. Too bad I can't remember the name of that episode...

And too bad it was only one episode, and too bad it wasn't G1 or BW.

I'm not saying Armada was shite, either. I didn't mind that series.

Yeah and why not make it PG with cursing, excessive violence, and little more mature (but nothing obscene just more serious)? Put it on Adult Swim with the rest of the good shows on the slots.

Yeah, I reckon if they made War Within into a Cartoon, it'd probably be fit for Adult Swim. Megatron Origin, too, which I personally think was a lot darker than WW was!

I never read neither of them but I heard they were both dark stories. But overall the Transformers comcis in general are dark stories.
