Re: I'm getting sacked to cover up fraud
Hey folks, not been on here for a while as I've been gyming it like mad to get ready for Summer.
To update you we now have a date set for the appeal, 25th June 2010 at the Employment Appeal Courts at the Embankment in London. There is a strong inclination that the press will be there, and even if they aren't the verdict of this will be published on the website within a matter of weeks http://www.employmentappeals.gov.uk/Pub ... ments.aspx
So if you don't hear anything from me after the hearing (unlikely) then check out the above link on a regular basis, even if I lose then at least I make some case law that all UK law students will have to study in future years which if nothing else is a tad gratifying and makes this a bit more bearable.

Best of Luck for you on this one. Hopefully this chess match ends well.

Re: I'm getting sacked to cover up fraud
Hey folks, just wanted to let you know that (what is hopefully) my final update on this very long running saga is going to be next Tuesday as I am in negotiations with their solicitors to settle this without court action.
While this course of action does make me want to vomit they are offering a reference to allow me to a new job and the obvious that makes people settle out of court
If I do settle, I likely won't be able to talk about the settlement or amount at all so I wanted to let you know now and thank everyone for the encouraging messages over the past 2 years. If history does repeat itself considering I got interviewed and suspended on the same day (6th June) and started and sacked on the same day (18th June) then I have a sneaking feeling this will get settled on one of those dates.
Of course if this doesnt get settled, more updates as usual

As far as details go, I'm not worried and I doubt many of the others watching this thread do either if it means you get closure and feel you have gotten some justice (or just desserts) for all the crap you've dealt with.
All the best, and if you do settle, I hope your lawyer can suck them for as much as you are entitled to.
