Image of Transformers on the River Walk
Earlier today we reported that the The GM cars used in the Transformers Movie,Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Solstice, Hummer H2 and GMC Top Kick medium duty truck, would all take center stage at the Detroit International River Days presented by GM in collaboration with the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy and The Parade Company. Ok, I know these are in the movie, but if they don't change, is it fair to say Transformers on the river walk whatever?
Shouldn't it be cars from the movie at the show?
I mean no changing robots=no Transformers, these are just stunt double cars!

I have to agree with Liege on this one. "Photos of Transformers Vehicles on the River Walk" might be a better title. The title leads us to believe that the robots were there.

Now c'mon..Stunt double cars??! What the hell does that mean? You were expecting giant robots walking the city?
In my opinion the vehicle modes of TF's are just as important as their Bot mode. It's what MAKES them the characters we know and love. Don't beleive me? Then why was the world in an uproar when BB wasn't a VW? When Jazz wasn't a Porche? Transformers are BOTH elements and if you really need to be so literal then JUST the car is as much as a TF as the Bot inside.

I think it's really cool that they are showing these vehicles like this. I think they should do a tour, I would really like to see the vehicles in person.

It doesnt have to be robots 'walking the city' for it to be fun for a transformer fan... we've seen the photos of the life size bumblebee prop and the optimus prime head prop... they would be cool to see in the flesh.. er so to speak.

I went yesterday. It was pretty cool. The display was right by the main gate. Unfortunately Bumblebee was not on display for some reason, but the rest were there, and I got some great pictures. I even met a fellow Seibertron.com member. I only wish that they had the monitors working. The speakers were playing the movie previews, but both monitors were off. Still, it was definitely worth the drive for me.

Accept for the fact that any sane person knows the robots are CGI in the movie, and thus... not going to make a live appearance.
