Images and Review of Transformers Animated Voyager Starscream Figure
Thanks for the pic and nice site. So, this is a legit T-Cracker? I didn't know he was going to be in the series. Hope Skywarp will look like that. However, I'm just not digging the faces/heads on these new toys. SS and TC have Jay Leno's chin, and it's rather disturbing.

You know I'm sure he has the right to raise an issue about his site being linked to, etc. But having a story from your site frontpaged by Seibertron, isn't exactly a bad thing... Silly little man.
At any rate, I hated the look of this show, but slowly but surely I'm getting won over... The writing team looks good, the voice cast is full of some of voice acting's finest...looks good.
So, who's going to be the first to repaint this guy into an animated Skywarp....Sunstorm...heh, heh...

I still think this guy is starscream.
and don't mess with the chin.
It has... connections.
Also all of the pics are mirrored at transformers at the moon and their animated site.

Surprised the Mouth is light-piped rather than painted. May still kill it for me.

The original review states it's Starscream, but that is wrong. Starscream is indeed white and red, he was shown during the Hasbro presentation at the San Diego Comic-Con this past summer:

So not only is the guy really whiny crybaby, he cant tell his tf's apart. Maybe thats why he still displays his starscream with a half melted face, he thinks its official release.

Yeah that's not the greatest picture.
Plus the "Seekers" that were on display were the colors we see on this guy's.
Although it could just be a prototype.

im all for the simple transformation, the fiddling of say movie barricade and BB 08 must be frustrating for kids, these something very ungainly and clumsy about some of the movie line transformations. I recently got the old beastwars II autorollers which are almost a cross between the cyber slammers and FAB's BUT quite fun! I really like the look of both modes of this seeker. maybe the haters are now hiding but seems that most posts show this line is being slowly but surely accepted. Anything is better than the AEC trilogy toys, ive got so sick of the (to my mind) unrecognisable toys year after year (i do like the energon superlinkers though). Im hoping the final releases have this same rather matt paint type. the face is a bit too stylised but lots of character for sure. Overall the toy at least LOOKS solid and has a really nice aesthetic (in both modes) when compared to say cybertron skywarp.
Im not sure how to describe this but at the emergence of BW and onwards I always felt the sculpting was a little 'soft' which with the plastic seemed to give a cheaper feel to the toys, anyway when i look at this i dont get the impresion of cheapness that i get when i see the said cybertron skywarp.

Oh ya, this guy sets a great example for the entire Canadian populace. I know the owner of Cybertron.ca, he's a hell of a guy and most definately not megatroptimus. He also runs all of the Candian Transformers conventions, to which, I've never seen megatroptimus at.
Come on, he lives in quebec, I wonder where he gets all his "super exclusive figures" from...

Kinda like the overall look of the figure, but the head is made of ass and fail.

I don't get why people are dissing the head so much.
It fits Starscream's personality so well in my opinion.

So not digging the plane mode. It really doesn't look like anything. Just a lump of plastic with wings. Disappointing.

Well, firstly, isn't this Thundercracker? And secondly, it looks... well, it looks like a bad cartoon drawing. I appreciate this is the look the series will have, but did it have to spill over onto the toys as well?Silent_Magnus wrote:I don't get why people are dissing the head so much.

I don't remember hasbro saying anything about thundercracker yet.
And starscream has been blue a few times before.

If the toy is supposed to be Thundercracker, my earlier points stand. If it's supposed to be Screamer, I'd like to add that it's pretty stupid to do him in what are clearly TC's colours.

microclone wrote:the irony is i'd never heard of cybertron.ca until this link. Ive never ever seen anybody oppose a link before, thats a key feature of the internet isnt it? very odd. im still waiting to see the photos, ive always prefered the thundercracker colours to the SS ones.
I remember many years ago, back when the first web-based newspaper sites were going up, a british news site got pissed off at another site for daring to link to it's news article pages. The British newspaper claimed they had the right to require all links to their site link ONLY to their front page (index.html), and not to internal pages with each story on it. They claimed it was cirsumventing the advertising on their front page. The british courts eventually found against the newspaper. It was one of the earliest tests of legalities on the web.
As to the figure itself, I'm severely NOT liking the animated style, and this is no exception. Pass.
