shortround wrote:I don't know if this is true or not but I watching g4's coverage of the tgs today and across the bottom of the screen they had text bar scrolling with news from the show, and they announced that microsoft got the rights to make a mmorpg based on the classics line of transformers. I'm not not sure if this is only in japan or if it will also be here in north america as I said it only flashed across the screen for a few seconds. I wasn't sure if should put this in video game news or the toy news because if this pans out it may mean that we will see alot of new toys for the classics 2.0/universe line to complement this game.

I don't play them myself, but examples include Everquest and World of Warcraft.

So basically it's like the South Park episode where they were playing that game all the time to get to a level where they could beat the other couch potato?

skywarp-2 wrote:ActuallY I rather like city of heroes, where the pooint isn't to beat the game, but to make superheroes, gain levells and fly and do all the stuff that you've always wanted to do.. all while with your own charcter, and billions of costume options and body styles all from the very beginning of the game!! WOW and other games are kinda lame to me.. I can make almost anyone, monsters, robots, Ironman, Gi Joes, Spike from Buffy.. all with powers.. you name it!!! anyways.. I doubt the game is based on Classics but rather the classic Transformers.. like G-1...
shortround wrote:As I said sometimes these things only happen in japan and never make there way to north america. Microsoft is trying to make in roads into japan's gaming market and transformers is big over there so if microsoft were to make an mmorpg feature what I assume is the g1 universe they would have alot of sales over there. As I said it was flashed across the bottom of the screen during xplay's hour long coverage of tgs this evening. Also ign, gamespot, g4 don't cover every upcoming game on there websites especial if there is chance it won't make north america shores so I would keep an eye on japan's gaming sites.
