Yes on this KO Classic Megatron the wings are easily made removable and here is why the wings are attached by small tips that fit into a groove on the main body and doesn't require a pin to hold them in place like on the origional Classic Megatron. Heres a close up picture of the wing tips remember this picture was taken before I repainted the wings.ghostofstarscream wrote:looks good man... did you make the wings removable?
I went to Walmart and picked up some acrylic Model paints and used them to repaint him. I recommend the acrylic as it dries really fast and doesn't seem to chip very easily and relatively cheap.Auto Bot wrote:Very nice.
What did you use to color him?
Coz i just got a KO Megs 2 days ago.

Wow great deal so how much was shipping. I own two of the origional already and each one cost $29.99 Canadian one I repainted in G1 colours and one I left unaltered. I bought the knock more to see how it compared to the origional and I thought paying $10 dollars American wasn't too bad even if it cost an additioal 10.00 for shipping now I am wondering if I should of waited since you got yours cheaper. But since I didn't such is life out of Curiosity where did you purchase yours?.Auto Bot wrote:Galaxion wrote:It cost me a total of $20.00 dollars American 10 for the figuere and 10 for shipping and handling.Auto Bot wrote:Galaxion wrote:I found it on Ebay from a seller in HongKong. That is highway robbery. Better just buy a $19.99 original.
Anyway, mine cost around $4 when converted to USD.

Here is a picture of the 3 of them;
Left Origional custom repaint center unaltered origional right Knockoff repaint
Well your knockoff is different than the one I got but it is really cool in its own way. Anyway in order to add multiple pictures after you add the first picture click on add attachment and another attachment box will come up then browse for another picture and open it and repeat the process for more pictures. Anyways I am adding a picture along with yours so that you can see what my knockoff looked like before I gave it a g1 look to it.So enjoy.Auto Bot wrote:Here's another view.
Sorry, don't know how to attach 2 or more pictures together.
I'll repaint the knock off into G1 colors soon.
By the way, how did you upload several pictures together in one single post?
I didn't after I repainted my KO I realized that I forgot to take pictures of what he looked like befor painting him so I went back to my ebay and downloaded the ebay picture comparision to the original and it all came up as one picture. Now I had a picture of what he looked like before the repaint. And your very welcome for the tip. As far as your knockoff is concerned I love the outside of the gun mode I think it looks awesome.Auto Bot wrote:Works like a charm.
Thanks, man.
How did you group them together without the lines in between each picture?
Auto Bot wrote:Yeah, my gun "skin", plus your bot color would make it close to perfect.
By the way, my box says "LASER AMBUSH".
Auto Bot wrote:These are made by nameless chinese factories using cheap plastic.
Basically, they use whatever plastic color is more abundant at the moment. They made copies of any popular toys indiscriminately. Our "LASER" products could be made by the same factory.
