What stories of aquisitions in the wee hours do you have...

I posted this one last night in my latest find thread:

I just got back from a covert Mission to Wal-Mart, had to sneak out the house, it was 12:55 here.. anyways had to go to Wal-mart, cause I hid a Leader Brawl in the Baby kids isle, which doesn't get much visiting late night, I am proud to say I am finally an owner of a Leader Class Brawl!!! after I reclaimed him, i went to the front counter where some guy took forever to buy fishing equipment!! The clerk had to have either been mentally challenged or just tired...he was slower then the customer!! anyways I spent about 30 minutes in the car in the parking lot gawking.. and yes, sadly.... Giggling to myself like a school girl...WHOOO HOOO!! SHHHHH my girlfriend is still asleep.. he he he ...

This is meant to be a thread on the stuff that you go through in the stores late at night or in the wee hours.. We all know crazy stuff happens late at night.. this is your chance to bring out the flames or just plain sillyness that you endured the night before..give ius a laugh, or just let us know how your doing in your particular neck of the woods...

Note: this is in no way meant to replace the Acquistions thread, but to elaborate on your huntings...got a story? Share it with us, we can all sympothize..

2 weeks ago at 2:00 A.M. in the morning went on a toy hunt at walmart(mines is a super center and is open 24 hrs.). I know they pack out the toys off the pallets at that time(got a friend there and she told me the best time to come) so I was able to get Jetfire classics and Voyager Megs. Just like you I sat in the car just looking at Megs(he is ugly but I finally got him) with so much joy! So, I know the feeling.

theres no super wal marts around me . so the latest my missions have gotten were at 10 at night

I will try to think of some other funny late night excursion stories or I will try to do some more, once I know the whole Masterpiece U.S. Starscream has come out... I had no idea that Wal-Mart had liquidated it's layaway program!! I was pissed last night, because I had actually left the money I had in my wallet at home because I didn't think there would have been a restock, I actually was picking up dinner from Applebees and decided to make a quick sweep on the local Wally world, considering we haven't had a restock in like almost 2 Months!! then having to hide the toy because they no longer do layaway was a pain in the ass!!! It's now a Site to Sotre pickup place, which means you can oredr online and not have it shipped to your house, and go to pick it up at the actual store that is closest to you and that it is in stoick at... What a Jip!! layaway was sooo much better..

cool, i wish we had uber 24 hour stores in Australia.

WB Comics Emporium... Ahhh gotta love them, sweet Nerdy guys arguing at 11PM over Warhammer rules and Politics...they are open until 1AM on Saturday's and since it's a 3 day weekend..

I try not to get into the discussion, amidst the Blarring Weird Al Yankovic playing loudly at his front desk, as usual.. they bought a giant old store in the downtown area, and converted the 2nd floor into computer game rooms, a large miniature gaming area with 7 hugeass miniature warfare tables, and an anime club, which gets exclusive first run anime from Japan and wathces it on their large screen...


Anyways, the bottom floor is where the most anime, and DVD collections along with various toys and mecrchandise, Mostly Miniatures like Rackham, Warhammer, LOTR, ect..., are sold..

I managed to eye a Transformer toy sitting just wedged between some other boxes...

It's the MP-02 Ultra Magnus!!! and what is that???? 50.00!!!

Sold!! I grab him fast, look around as I clutch him tightly, but not so as to damage the packaging...

I make a B-Line for the counter.. all the while containing my emotions... the owner...whom I think is the funniest man who ever lived.. in a nerdy kinda cool at the same time thing...anyways, he tries to engage me in the converstion they are having over Republicans, ect.. Last time I was here for an hour, and couldn't get a word in edgewise!!

I don't want to talk to them, not really, just want my Ultra Magnus and to go!!!

So I kinda fake a hugeass stomach ache.. tell the guy to hurry and ring me out so I can make it upstairs to the rest room after I take my merchandise back to my car...


Once outside in my car, I go!!!


I kinda wondered, after I laughed abit about my hasty getaway....

I never went back??

Oh shoot!!

I never went back in side!!!

Oh no, Do they think I crapped my pants???

Thanks, true story too!! The best way to add the story is to come home after your patrolling and if you got something or not, it doesn't matter, just post the story since it's still fresh in your mind... I always find the craziest **** happens to me late night on a Toy run..

yeah but it's worse here in the ghetto/red neck territory..east coast with Middle eastern foriegners, Mexican migrant workers, and so on...late night is always interesting with such a very strange mix of peoples...

ok, so I went to Wal-mart last night at about 11PM, I was looking for Dog Food, and then I came across 2 Rescue Ratchets, 1 Longarm, 1 Dropkick, and 1 of some other guy, whose name escapes me, but I wanted him very badly.. anyways.. I was just about to pick one up to buy it, when I got a phone call..I hid them...quickly

It was my woman, so I had to go to the other end of the store to get to the Dog Food section to have her walk me through which Brand we are choosing, because our specialty brand was out, and the store it's from closes early and is about 45 minutes from where we live..

Anyways, I finally got the correct Dog food, and slung the 45lb bag over my shoulder, I saw a cart nearby, and asked one of the employees if they wouldn't mind me using it.. they said sure.. so off I went to the toys section to grab the ones I wanted and head to check out......








..................




Wouldn't you know that within that short span of maybe 12 minutes tops, three guys had come by and nabbed both those figures and had already made it to the checkouts, and were gingerly laughing to themselves in front of me at the cash register..

Me being of a great disposition, and all... and being fair...

I had just ate some chef Boyardee before I came to the store and had a large diet coke as well... and with all my might I burped silently, and preceded to blow a short wind in their direction, in front of me at the register.. the stench I know was unbearable.. and these guys deserved it in my opinion, because they found where I had hidden them!! which means they followed me!!!!

they walked away with some cool toys, all i got was some Kibble.....
