Legions, legends, and scale

Postby Bozziusmaximus » Mon Jul 22, 2013 2:32 am

Ok, so I've always liked smaller transformers since the g2 gobots and even micromaster sports car patrol series way back when. This has carried over to my adult collecting habits, and I gotta say, Hasbro may suck at scale, but they about got it right with the prime and beast hunters legion/commander stuff. Picked up Shockwave and all I can say about that figure is wow, aside from his stupid missile of course. Also what do you guys think of the new legends 2 packs with the triple changer weapons? I got Prime and I'm impressed. Is bumblebee worth it?

I've yet to see the latest Generations Legends.

I do love the Cyberverse figures. Both Commanders and Legions. If you can, get Prime Cliffjumper or his repaint. Best Legion ever, that is great looking all over and is fully articulated. Commander Hardshell is also incredible. One thing I reccomend for you to get is the DOTM Ark playset. It make for a great Cyberverse display and you can have it for dirt cheap even online.

Finally, to give hell to your :CON: , buy YOTS Omega Supreme and/or Generations Metroplex for some stomping action! Both of these bots are roughly in scale with Cyberverse figures.
Come see my latest creation, the COMPLETE combiner team, Scorponok and his Pretenders, forming SHELLSHOCK

Bumblebee looks alright, but apparently it has some articulation issues. I liked it at first, but the more I look at it, the less likely I feel that it is I'll buy one next time I see it. I definitely want to pick up Prime though, being Optimus and all. Plus, Roller is a robot! And a Targetmaster no less, it's good stuff.

As far as upcoming stuff, I'm picking up the Abominus giftset as soon as I see it, and Legends Tailgate is most definitely BUY ON SIGHT. Cosmos as well, probably. Gotta love those minibots. ;) (I still need a Universe Powerglide and RTS Seaspray/Deep Dive...)
Old fasioned games!

Come on everybody this is Ta-ble Flip!

I like bee better than I do prime.

prime has a chest issue that is hard to get past. at least for me.

Bee's robot mode is nice. and you have a few options with how to attach his little partner. though his car mode is kinda crappy.

if you like prime grab bee to, im not diassapointed in either.

from what ive seen I think the upcoming starscream will be my personal favorite. with megatron coming in second.

Prime is awesome. Skip bee, his back tap breaks easily, and you can lose blazemaster's blades easily, and the gun doesn't fit in his hands very good
All of the future waves are buys though, Swerve, cosmos, tailgate, Megatron, Starscream, Sharpshot, generations is perfect

Generations is what we need to buy, BH only for predacons, skip sonctructbots, Orion Pax, Megatron/Galvatron, Trailbreaker(cutter), Waspinator, so many awesome figs!. Though Rhinox and whirl look terrible.
When Hasbro wanted Whirl to be a g1 homage, they went way too far...
"This isn't how the story's supposed to end."
—Smokescreen giving a middle finger to the tried and true leadership inheritance patterns.

"You do know that I vanquished Cliffjumper, don't you?"
"Big whoop. I snuffed Hardshell."
—Starscream finally gets his "I killed Cliffjumper" boast shut down by Miko.
