Don't much think Downshift NEEDED a repaint to resemble WheeljackNujevad wrote:How about Energon Downshift as Classics Wheeljack or Classics Starscream as Thundercracker (the Botcon version doesn't count).

See, that's my problem with the fandom, right there, incarnite.
Energon Downshift for all intents and purposes IS WHEELJACK. How, in anyway would it be worth it to redeco him and call him Wheeljack?
Fans are never ever happy.
Whywhywhy?
Dagon wrote:What are you talking about fans are never happy?
I'm happy right now, even without the Botcon set. So there.

Now, honestly, no one is truely happy without the Botcon set.

Suppose (and it requires a bit of effort) that the person in question is dumb to BotCon and it's abhorrent hording of said awesomeness...?

Those people are getting cancer as we speak.

Nujevad wrote:Downshift may look like Wheeljack (or might even be Wheeljack in Japan), but he has too much green to him, whereas the original Wheeljack was mostly white and gray. Imagine how much better he would look with a simple repaint. As for my issue with the botcon Thundercracker, since I live outside the US, getting my hands one him would be extremely difficult and costly, whereas Starscream and Skywarp are more accessible.

It's the only logical way to go, really. The Bruticus one from Energon doesn't look enough like G1 to make it work, and Superion/Devastator all have similar colour schemes which make them more attractive (where Bruticus' colour scheme differed from limb to limb because of his components). The aerialbots are a cert, definitely.Lord Crump wrote:Meverix wrote:Here's one. What about the aerialbots made from the Energon Superion Combiner? That was an obvious one for the classics line. I love your optimism. I hope you're right, cos it'd save me tracking down and repainting the remaining limbs I need.
