unless they plan to use the van to attack the others (possible, i suppose), the only thing that's really important is that kate went and found rousseau, and told her that they needed her help to rescue jack. when rousseau asked why she should care, kate told her that they had been captured by the others and alex had helped her and sawyer escape.

as far as the van is concerned, jin and hurley couldn't fix it, but they managed to get it started by pushing it down a nearby hill and hurley popping the clutch at the bottom. charlie rode shotgun down the hill because hurley wanted to convince him he wasn't destined to die (since if he was, that would have been a prime opportunity).

Thanks, I actually watched the ep online yesterday afternoon. It was a pretty silly episode minus what Kate is doing. LOST is still not doing well, as it has been at an all time low of viewers 3 weeks in a row.

Could that be because of the new time slot, or due to lackluster storytelling??

I concur.

You know, seems to me if the Darhma Initiative labeled the Others "Hostiles" you'd have to assume they started the mentioned war. Would make sense, since they obviously don't like anybody snooping around "their" island.

ok, i totally called jack and claire being half-siblings back in the second season, when i saw the ana-lucia flashback where jack's dad went banging on that lady's door in australia demanding to see his daughter. it was pretty obvious with the way the show is written that that daughter would end up being someone on the plane (why would they have included that if she wasn't?), and claire is the only major character who's a native australian.

predictability of that particular plot point aside, damn good episode. that ending... wow.

another top-notch episode, although it was pretty obvious who "the man from tallahassee" was going to be as soon as ben said it, and thus the "what's behind the door" tension at the end was seriously diminshed. nonetheless, great episode overall. i loved the way locke got his injury. i'd long suspected his dad was the one responsible for putting him in a wheelchair, but pushing him through an eighth story window? damn! and i'm really looking forward to seeing what happens with the whole alex/danielle story (i was totally expecting her to ask locke if her mom was really alive on the way to the submarine), as this episode provided some great set-up.

on another note, how many episodes do you guys think it'll be until they reveal that locke's dad is the con man that sawyer has been trying all these years to find? i've been utterly convinced since season 1 that that'll end up being the case, and with him on the island, chances are it'll come out by the end of the season.

I don't want you to feel like you are all alone here, I'm reading the posts, just had nothing significant to add.

I do wish it was on like an hour earlier. I can never catch on TV the night it happens now, and so I watch a recorded version and/or the version the ABC website a day later...
