Eh, it's not like Hasbro lost the rights to the name. It was mainly just the whole idiotic Armada Wheeljack situation biting them in the ass (Wheeljack becoming a 'Con because the name sounded "evil," FYI for the kiddies), and maybe an effort to keep yet another G1 name (Downshift).
They could've tried a bit harder.
