I thought the reason soundwave wasn't in the movie was because Bay wanted the robots body parts 2 fit the size of their vehicle modes and that soundwave couldn't downsize 2 a tapedeck. I just watched the dvd and i just watched a 40 foot allspark downsize 2 something that fits under Sams arm. I don't see why in the next film Bay can't give us older fans the soundwave we know and love. I could see a scene in the next film about someone making a crack about a tapedeck being low tec and out of date as soundwave transforms in robot mode. In a world of ipods and cell phones what better disquise than something you wouldn't look twice at.

Guess what. The transformers don't Mass Shift. The Allspark isn't a Transformer.


Simple answer to a simple question.

Do you look like your parents? Do you have some of the same trates that they do. If the thing that gave them life can change it's size why not them. Answer 2 a simple response.

Transformers is not the only race that was created. As was said in the movie they don't know where it came from so therefore it can be implied that other races and beings were made from the allspark. Not neccesarily robotic creatures either.

Transformers = Species
Allspark = Creator

Not all creatures on earth look the same when according to certain religions we were created in "his" image.

Not wanting to get religious or anything but I think it correlates.

I'm not trying 2 get into a pissing match over this but since we do know that the allspark did make them and that the only thing that changed on earth were the machines it's easy 2 say they can pull off soundwave g1 style. We could sit here all night saying the allspark is this and that but the fact is that it gave them life and there for there is no reason they shouldn't be able 2 change their size like the allspark.

Its really quite simple.

Bay lied.

Once you accept that, and the fact that a Tapedeck and Walter P38 are absolutely ludicrus ideas for TF's in todays genre, you'll feel better about it.

But the items that were created did not become mass shifting items. The phone bot was still the size of a cell phone as was Vending machine bot.

They can make g1 style soundwave but according to the rules the movie established he would be a masterpeice soundwave in terms of size.

I don't disagree that the gun and tapedeck are out of date forms one bit.I thought the film was great as is. I'm not eight anymore and I understand things need to be updated. My life will not end because they don't look the same way they did when i was a child and I do think Bay can make a good action film like this. It was just a thought about how it could be done.

Even though I LOVE G1 Soundwave (my favorite cartoon character ever!) I doubt any attempt at having a mass shifting TF in TF2 won't work. Otherwise, why not have Frenzy mass shift to be the size of Barracide?
Besides, I was ok with Soundwave being a stealth bomber in Cybertron.

How do we know that the only thing the Allspark changed on earth were the machines?????The Allspark may have been responceable for human life.

As long as he's somewhat recognizable (to the same level as Prime and Jazz) in robot mode and is appropriately stealthy and ultra-loyal to Megatron, he can be any cool alt mode they can think of. That Balkan communications truck looks sweet, but a stealth bomber would be great too, or a ship.

Please stop typing the number 2 instead of the word "to". It's really, really, really annoying to read.
