Tks
Thormind wrote:Ok, i was told that the masterpiece soundblaster is bigger than the original and encore versions. Is that true? They just did not upscale the cassettes with him? If so This is good news. tks!
Another question: is it normal that frenzy (from encore 21) in cassette mode just out of the box feels a little loose?

Which parts? I have Encore 21 myself and mine feels pretty tight.

When in cassette and in robot mode, his legs are loose. If you move the cassette, the left and wright part move back and forth. Unless the cassette is perfectly vertical, it never looks flat. Even soundblaster feels loose. Ive watched video reviews before buying and they were all saying the joints were tight. Overall mine dont feel like a MIB toy at all.
fenrir72 wrote:If you are talking about the G1 cassettes, well, they are kind of loose. That's because of their basic design of the 80s. The MPs are more tight and stable.

Tks, guess from now on when i want a G1 equivalent i will have to pay for the masterpiece version...
Is it the same thing with the main figurines? This Soundblaster feels looser than any modern transformers i bought so far. For example the new megatron (the tank) or combiners are all really tight. If you "shake" them a little, most parts dont move that much. If you do the same thing with this Soundblaster the legs and the arms have ample movements (especially the legs).
fenrir72 wrote:Unless there's mold degradation. I'm assuming your SB is the Encore version. Mine is the TFC, very tight. But in reality, those joints in between his thighs that attach to his body, are also kind of wobbly if you keep on transforming him.

It is the Encore 21 model from Takara. This is out of the box, 1st transformation from player to robot. Wobbly would be the perfect way to describe him. Bought it 2 days ago and not sure if i should ask the store for an exchange. The thing is i am not that much familiar with G1 versions.
From watching youtube reviews of the same model they all have good comments on the thighness. Maybe what i feel wobbly is actually normal for G1 figurines? It is definitly worst than any modern transfo. i bought so far.
