When I first started collecting MP Transformers, I didn't really pay too much attention to the collector coins that usually came with them. But once I started getting them with the more recent MPs from around MP-15 onwards, I decided to go back and get the previous ones that I missed out on.

And I'm definitely glad I did! The coins all come in decent artlike packaging, but once out of the case, the beauty of these coins really come to the fore!

its strange that they differentiated between variants earlier in the line with sunstorm and black convoy, but got lazy with soundblaster and especially G2 sideswipe (they coulda put his crazy face on the coin!). personally im a little behind. i have all the car coins but still need the cassettes, sw, ss, and prime. thankfully theyre all still floating around on ebay for pretty decent prices.

Thanks for watching, glad you liked it! Yeah, the MP-10B is great, and having the repaint coins different is really nice. At least with Soundblaster they did make it unique with the name etc, but yes the MP-12G is a bit of a lazy release. The G2 symbol would've been the difference that made most sense to do, but they missed it. Oh well, still nice to have I guess.

And yes, pretty much all the older ones are still on ebay for pretty reasonable prices still. I'm glad I went back and got some of the older ones. It's a little annoying that MP-9B and MP-12T dont have any coins for them, but not much can be done. I wonder if they'll re-release MP-9B and provide a coin like they did for MP-8 - doubtful since the MP-9B was some e-hobby exclusive or something.

Nice vid! I personally think the coins are a great touch that really helps emphasize the MP line's collector orientation.

All I'm missing right now is the Soundblaster coin. I'd like to get another MP-11 coin, since mine came with scratches on the back (since it's exposed in the packaging).

The MP-13B coin is nice, and at least they made it unique with differences to base MP-13 coin.

I also like getting the coins though I haven't tried to get those I missed. I don't want to get too into them however as I can see these being one of the first things to be axed in cost saving measures for future figures.

I'd like to think Takara would continue putting out the coins and not cut them as part of some cost saving method. They've included them since at least MP-8, so no reason for them to stop now I guess. But if they do, I'll be happy with what they've done so far.

Finally got the little easels for my MP coins. I reckon they look great and complement the figures really well!

the first coin was actually for MP09 rodimus. MP08 has a "coin" with its latest reissue, but its not actually a coin. just a different crown packaged to look like a coin... for whatever reason.

Loving the MP coin collection, now updated with Wheeljack and Silverstreak

nice display. but the OCD collector in my head wont ever let me take them out of their packages

do you plan to get the non MP coins? theres the movie jetwing prime coin, and 3 encores devastator, sixshot, and fort max. all but jetwing is pretty attainable

Nah, I'll just stick to the coins from the MPs I have in my collection. All the G1 related MPs to date since MP-8. Still not sure if I'll get Star Saber - just doesnt really appeal to me.
