But I always saw Megatron immediately saying "I am Megatron" upon awakening as THIS...

He's been wide awake this whole time. Wide awake and paralyzed. He's heard them calling him NBE-01 and he's probably thinking something along the lines of: "What's with this NBE-01 stuff? Quit calling me that, dammit! My name's Megatron!" I'd be pretty fed up with that too, after however long he's been in there.

So when he thaws I think he's like: "FINALLY! Enough with the NBE-01 junk! The name's Megatron! I'm MEGATRON, dammit!"

Depends if they really wanted to make that canon, then I reckon Weaving could've added the line: 'NBE-0!?! Outrageous! I am... MEgatron!!'

Would've been pretty cool if they did it right.
