Even my wife rolled her eyes when they took Megatron down that way... Megatron + Divine Energy = Galvatron.



I was really hoping Optimus would put the Allspark himself, creating the Creation Matrix, and then just beat the snot out of Megatron as a 'true Prime'.

I was thinking about Megs & his "combination" w/ the all spark after having seen the movie. I may be wrong, but since the all spark was shown to be capable of mass displacement and part of it is embedded in Megs, I think that if Megs does come back in the sequel, his revival may be due to the all spark piece lodged in him, and it could be explained that he might be able to mass shift, eg. turn into a gun or pistol of some type, due to the piece of the all spark in him.

Just a thought.

yeh i agree, galvatron was ****, i never liked him, he just seemed like a cool way hype up a movie, and really didnt turn out all to different to megs, id like to see more of the classic prime vs megs batlles

and just because he lost his arm in the battle doesnt mean hes going to replace with a cannon, bays take on his cannon was that double armed transformation thing, f***ing cool if ask me. they could have very well dropped the severed arm in the ocean with him

Actually thats the best way for Megatron to revive is that the allspark doesnt destroy you when you merge with it, but it reformats and upgrades you in time.

Think about this guys, it will bring in a whole new dynamic to Sam as well. He watches on TV somewhere that a city has been leveled by Megatron and some new decepticons and thousands are dead.. Sam and the autobots figure out what must of happened and the rest of the movie up until the end Sam carries a heavy burden that he must fix.

The underwater base is interesting and gives a certain believability to Bay's decepticon aircraft carrier idea.

Personally, I'm fine with Movie Megs sucking seaweed in the next film. Megatron spent the vast majority of the Marvel comic book series dead to no ill effect. Besides, it'll clear the deck for some bigger and badder Decepticons in the next film. Maybe they'll even get lines this time- and not go down with one shot in the crotch (thanks for nothing Blackout).

Thats fair enough but personally i dont really like the mass-shifting idea, i mean ok robot to a fairly sized cannon etc, but a gun....that another decepticon has to hold,Dont get me wrong g1 megs is great, but it makes him look a bit week and reliant on others...

What if the Decepticons WEREN'T dumped in the trench? What if the whole concocted idea was a lie, and now our government has access to these "deactivated" derilects to poke and prod in a secret undersea lab or were dumped off later recovered without anyone being the wiser...

...until Megatron reactivates and goes sickhouse on them.

I like that idea. Perhaps Sector 7 knows something that the Autobots and everyone else doesn't. Maybe they know more Transformers are on the way. I think an invasion movie would work very well. Perhaps they can bring in the Quintessons... or even Unicron.

What I want to see is the arrival of other Transformers to Earth seeking comrades... primarily allies of Megatron that can restore him.

It was kind of a shock that by the end of this movie, Megs and Bonecrusher were dead. With so many Transformers biting the dust so early on, they'd better figure out an inventive way to bring them back or introduce others that isn't just a cheap trick.

An interesting question for me would be will we ever really see Cybertron. One thing I really didn't like is the idea that Cybertron is a "dead" world.

Thats is a great idea, maybe the decepticons made a 'bargain' wid s7 or the goverment to give us technology etc, and the bodys dropped into the ocean were not deactivated just'offline' and put there for show, but starscream refused this and left

I think if Starscream is getting help, they can probably find Decepticons who could repair Megatron and co. And maybe Allspark can rejuvenate Megatron into Galvatron, and make the sequel into ESB. I hope so, anyway.

Or maybe bonecrusher will come back...oh wait...he died 30 seconds after he appeared and yea...what about barricade?

I've been hearing about Dinobots in the next movie though...that'd be interesting

The next movie would be too early for Galvatron. Megs needs to be destroyed entirely until just his spark remains so that they don't name Megatron's body 'Galvatron'. I just want a genuine Fusion Cannon. But we all know that if/when Megs revives, Starscream will have the Decepticons under his reigns. He's the only one that came out of it w/out a scratch. Even Scorponok lost his tail.

I doubt very much starscream would permit anyone to help revive/reformat megs, its his dream to rule the decepticons...nice idea tho

I think Megatron will defiantly return, the set up for that was unmistakable with putting the all spark in his chest and dropping the decepticons in the ocean, that’s where the base was in the cartoon series. But I think all of you have missed the fact that Megs was still in his Cybertronian form, He never scanned any earth vehicle, He was a big alien type jet. Also if you notice when the all spark was placed in him he was laughing for a moment until he seemed to go offline, then prime took a shard of the all spark from his chest. I think Megs will look different in the next film for sure maybe a gun, maybe a tank, who knows where they will take that but I would look for him to look closer to the G1 Megs than Galvitron, maybe part 3 or 4 we will see that. I am guessing the next movie will do what the Matrix did and have part 2 cliffhanger into 3.

i think that (along with others) that the all spark left over power will revive him but did anyone notice that brawl in the movie was devastator so that kills the idea for the construcktacons ( sry i spelled that wrong)

I hope they don't do galvatron, its too confusing for people that have never followed transformers before. plus did anyone notice but meg's personallity was close to galvatrons already. as far as his power no one could touch him, including prime, and he knew it. he had that ultimate superiority thing going. meg's was powerful in G1 but not like that.

Either a secret base OR an underwater Deceptcon that intercepts them half way down? Like the seacons (yeah i didn't like them too much either)? OR Baracade in robot form underwater?

Another twist would be a S7 sub to intercept?

I am also not that hot on the Galvatron idea... that would be moving too fast IMHO.
