With regrets, some more info:

It is confirmed that TFM had a heart attack late early Thurs. He was aware when it was happening, had his wife call an ambulance, and was even able to walk to the vehicle himself.

He went into Intensive Care, and has undergone stint and balloon procedures. It appears that his arteries are clogged to the point where his heart only pumps at 10% efficiency. He has been diagnosed with various heart issues, and the doctors have told his wife that there is a high probability that he may not survive.

TFM is 31yrs old, married, with one male child, age 8.

Please show some support, even if it is just a card. He is at St Mary's Mercy in Livonia. PM me for the hospital address, room number, and visiting hrs. TFM cannot communicate right now, so no phone calls, please. Send some good thoughts and positive energy.

I'll be visiting him on Sun(she told me to hold off until everything settles down), so if anyone wants to join me, you're welcome to. All of this info is straight from his wife Lauren, please refrain from any kind of gossip or embellishment out of respect to him and his family. I'll update as the info becomes available to me.

I hope that he recovers.

I'm very sorry to hear this has happened. I have been offline for a while and this was a sad return to reading the thread. I don't really know everyone that well other than Rodcon13, but PQP, please let TFM and his family know my thoughts are with them.

Was this completely unexpected, 10% seems like a big problem that you would notice. I worry about this kind of thing myself all the time. I play Hockey on a regular basis, but I also have chest pain on a regular basis. Mostly at night, I hope its in my head, or heartburn, but reading about TFM's case may get me into the doctor Monday. This stuff happening to people my own age scares the crap out of me :(

If you have any doubts, you need to make an appointment with your doctor. Seriously. It might be acid reflux/heart burn or worse. This should make everyone be aware of their habits. We tend to be a more unhealthy lot because of our habits involved with our hobby...

another update fellas.

tfmaster is currently doing ok, but under lots of medication and pretty much on a ventilator full time at the moment. they keep him under most of the time to reduce the stress on his heart. the next step is that they're going to stabilize him and get him to another hospital where he'll be put on a heart transplant list.

his wife sounded pretty upbeat considering the situation.

It's good to hear that he's doing better. Heart transplant, though. Yikes. Andrew, if you're still going to see him tomorrow, please let him know that he's in my thoughts.

In other news, if anybody's still looking for a Titanium WW Starscream or RiD Prime, I found one of each at the Haggerty & Ann Arbor Rd K-Mart tonight.

Wow, my heart just sank. I'm surprised how much of an impression he made on me in so short a time. He will be sorely missed, both as a cool guy and as a kickass customizer.

Are you shittin' me. I just had a PM from Andrew about going to visit him in the hospital today... What????

That is indeed quite sad. He was a talented person, with a great attitude, and who was awesomely passionate for this hobby.

I think Botcon should be renamed the 'TFMaster memorial'. So many sad things about this, simply months before a movie about the hobby he loved...

I'm shocked as well.

RIP William Koshorek.

Thanks for relaying the info, noob. The same thing happened to me, she called me at about 2am, and I was up until 4. I'm still just...blown away here. He just spent the day with me at Extravacon last week. We just IM'ed back and fourth on Tues.

He never even got to see the movie...how awful that someone who lived and breathed TFs has to miss one of the biggest years his hobby has ever seen. At least he was able to dine and have a few drinks with Peter Cullen at last yrs BotCon, all the while hanging out with Don F.

I regret acting so annoyed by him at times, but in hindsight I think it was because I cared about his situation too much to keep it bottled up. He was a great guy and was passionate about what he did. He loved his wife and child more than anyone I've ever known. I'll miss him dearly.

A toast to Bill.

This is really sad, Bill was the first person I ever met from a fan site in my life. I remember going to his house for the first time and seeing his Unicron repaint. He was a brilliant customizer, even did a couple things for me, and tried to show me how to do it myself. This truely is a sad thing and my heart goes out to his wife and son. Andrew, don't beat yourself up about being annoyed by him at times, it happens and nothing can be done, just know that you were a good friend to him and remember that. I am shocked by this whole thing!

That is really sad about what happened to TFM. I hope his family is doing well or as well as can be expected in that situtation.

I spent the weekend in Birch Run and Grand Rapids with my girl hunting. It was a fun weekend, nice to get away and go someplace new for a few days.

The KB Toys outlet in Birch Run is way worse than the one in Howell. The KB Toys store in Grand Rapids was worse than either of the outlets.

Both Toys R Us in Grand Rapids made me appreciate the TRU in Okemos.

We went to a bunch of Target's, WalMart's and Meijer's. They were all pretty bad. I picked up a few things in Ionia on Friday night including Cybertron Thundercracker, Skywarp, Red Alert (no idea why really, Cybertron figures have all disappointed me so far), a Series 2 Minga and a Darth Tater.

The first TRU we went to in GR had Series 3 Mortal Kombat figs (no Reptile or Noob though).

I haven't really posted since Thursday and the news that followed. I have been finding that I am becoming desensitized to death. Bill is the third friend of mine who has passed away since December 1st. I finally start bouncing back and I get hit with a ton of bricks again and again. I was in shock when I read Boon's post earlier today. Like I said before my father had two previous heart attacks and the most reason had 80% clogging and I have also had several other relatives have heart attacks and have bounced back. I was sure Bill was going to pull through. The fact that he was only 31 was a real wake up call. I'm only 13 years younger than him but I am also morbidly obese. Many people have talked to me about losing weight but I think that it took someone else losing their life to ultimately save mine. Bill may be gone but I'll still be thinking about him.

I'm still shocked over the news, very hard to believe. He had much more to give to world, both in his craft and as a person After the con last week, I was telling my wife about his plans to make a MP Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime from scratch as one of his Botcon entries. It's a shame he wont be able to complete that or any other pieces. He certainly will be missed.

yeah i think for most of us at the con last week, this was really something out of left field.

especially after talking to his wife and telling her that some of us were going down to visit on sunday and then getting the call early sunday morning, everything has been a little surreal.

My name is Matt.

Seeing TFM's face on the homepage of the site, and reading about him here, and on other sites is sad. I'm not sure why though. I guess we all just got reminded a bit about how mortal we are, and how little the hobby frustrations really matter in the grand scheme of things.

I kinda liked having a secret identity  my name is Todd. or Toddimus if you prefer :P

While I'm really trying not to get into the star wars action figures(it sucks when there are no new transformers) I am interested in a few of the new figures coming out. If anyone is on their rounds and comes across the new 30th anniversary figures, can you post it on here? I'm specifically looking for the Ralph McQuarrie Stormtrooper.

Also, on a completely unrelated note.. if you are looking for some new music, you should check out the new Blackfield album, Blackfield II. It's incredible. And it's available on iTunes. I can't stop listening to it.

I was afraid everyone would be looking for those..

what kind of music is blackfield? It's difficult to describe where they fit in. I want to say they are similar to Porcupine Tree(and PQP, you have no idea how many times I've referred to you as Porcupine Tree before realizing my mistake  ) but I don't know if you know who Porcupine tree is. the lead singer of P'tree is also lead of blackfield. they are kind of progressive/alternative/sort of floyd sounding. same goes with Porcupine tree. both bands have some albums on itunes, so you can listen to the 30 second clips. also, their myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/blackfield, has some full songs posted.

anyways, dont want to turn this into a full blown advertisement for the band...back to toys....
