does anyone else thinks that the minicons (that appeared in Armada, i dont know of anywhere else) I think they would be really cool, as when they are used by the bigger transformers they can give cool upgrades,

i think that the prime upgrade in armada is really cool, where he goes all gold!

No... just... no. Minicons would be a horrible idea. This is about a war between two races of robots not two races of robots running around trying to catch all the minicons. Most anything from the recent series' has no place in the series.

BTW, Armada was crap. And OP was never gold. He turned a Bluish color for only one episode.

The only gimmicks that would have a place in the film would be triple changers, minispies (like the cassettes), robots turning into animals (which has technically been done), and all though it would be frick'en complicated yet cool if they pulled it off, gestalts.

i like the minicons, perhaps because armada was the animates transformers i saw as a wee child,

what i ment by gold, was that primes hands parts of his facial features

Does frenzy for the tf1 movie count as a mini con,

mabey optimas's one could come back, (but no other of the minicons) I remember the 1st 3 minicons we saw were a bit pance, (they were the ones that transformers into a skate board, a bike and a moped

Ah, Optimus' Super Mode, that wasn't a Minicon upgrade, that was just him connecting to his trailer. Which was then boosted further by Sparkplug, his minicon.

Frenzy could count as a minicon, but to do that you have to re-imagine the term of the phrase 'Minicon'. Now they can combine with "bulk" robots, but they don't provide an upgrade (Frenzy stored in Barricade's chest, Scorponok in Blackouts.. um.. ass?). It'd be another term, or replacement for, Minibots (G1 characters like Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, etc).

Personally, if during a fight scene, they kept breaking off to show personal Minicon fighting alongside the bigger battle with the bulk robots, I'd get pretty pissed. I want the big robots that make lots of noise and mess. Not the little buggers that would pretty much be like having more humans involved.

mabey if the autoobots had a smaller transformer inside them them then there could be near the beggining of tf2 scorponork and frenzy and any other minny transformers on autobots or decepticons could have a battle, then for the rest of the film we get the big transformer battles!

Or they could help in the big battle, mabey scorponork could jump of the empire state, and slams into ratchet and forces him to fall over, then mabey blackout comes over and does a hench body slam.

I think in TF1 frenzy was really funny haveing paddys on the US presidents plane, especially when he keeps hitting his head on the technical stuff

..Blackout's dead. And somebody said Frenzy was too but I'm not sure.

It would be kinda neat to say that the Autobots used smaller droids to mingle into society (as human appliances) since they themselves can't go into buildings or whatever. Then maybe Frenzy, still undercover (if he aint dead) accidentally bumps into an Autobot spy and they have a massive stand off in the middle of a mall or something XD

Could be done, but people will definitely be more interested in big robots. Frenzy was funny. But we need something else in the second one.

dont you think that scorponok would look cool jumping of a the empire state to body slam someone, imagein the impact on the autobot.

in TF the game there are loads of drones, even ones that look frenzys size

Maybe they could have one Minicon and use it to set up a Minicons spin-off film. Everyone would pay to see a Minicon film and no-one would be upset if they altered the designs. I'm not sure how much of that last sentence is true.

Okay first off, minicons are a gimmick meant to make TF's do a bunch of overexaggeraed stuff. These movies is trying to avoid that by sticking to the roots as much as they can, namely anything predating 1986.

I've already lsited the gimmicks were most likely to see, all which predate TFTM, minus robots turning into bases which only one could do but won't happen.

Second, transformers is about a war, not two factions hunting for tiny robots that power them up. That's around the lines of Poke'mon.

Third, Frenzy isn't a frick'en minicon. He's an infiltrator/spy who's function pretty much self-explanatory If he was a minicon he would've combined with Blackout and Bumblebee would've lost. Frenzy is also dead, his head was blown to pieces. He can't come back without the Allspark. I always perfered Rumble anyways.

I don't think that there will be Mini-Cons. As they are not the main thing in Transformers. They are just in one series. It will still be plain and simple Autobots v.s Decepticons... no Energon, no fighting on Cybertron and no Mini-cons or Omnicons or any other minor-characters that only belong to 1 or 2 series. Making it plain and simple will be much better for non-TF fans to understand.

Mini-cons have their good points and bad points, but for a movie? Hell no.

This is a whole new take on Transformers, why are people so determined to borrow heavily from previous seasons? Are people THAT stuck in the past?

Oh wow, and I thought I felt old when a girl said to me that My Little Poney just came out a few years ago. =_=

Minicons were a neat idea to a point. However I for one would rather they not be in the next movie. Lets focuse first on giving the Transformers Actual personalities that people outside of the fan base can see, then we can work in the minicons.

I heard Devestator will appear in the second film, but Minicons? Hah! Not going to happen! Anything "mini" will probably be altered (Megatron transforiming from a giant robot into a small gun, for example).
