I'm new to the MN area (specifically, Plymouth), and I've been busting my chops to find some of the new figures. It seems like all of the Targets are just fat with previous waves. Any idea what's holding us up from getting some of the fabu new guys?
Welcome. I'm in Plymouth, too. Maybe we can meet sometimes......
Anyway, which one are you particular hunting for? I recently got Kup, Scourge, Perceptor, and Wreck-Gar but they are all from HTS. So you know how it goes around here.

Heh. Pretty much all of the above. I'm willing to wait it out since the Hasbro site appears to be sold out and is generally more expensive. However, if it looks like I'm gonna miss out altogether, I'll totally go that route. With as many shelf-warmers as I see around here, though, I hope that won't be an issue. =-).

i think its mostly a midwest thing. i happen to live in the quad state corner of minnesota, iowa, nebraska and south dakota. there is no sight of anything new yet anyway either that or they are selling too quick that i miss them and i have been checking every week if not twice.

typical dry spell after Christmas. Eventually they'll move enough to re-order. Right now only a little bit is being ordered so you have to be fast or it's gone!
Example: I have bought every Dirge I have found. I have one.
Man, I feel like a total schmuck at this point. I could have gotten a 2nd Dirge when I bought mine, but I thought he would be as available as Thrust was..........mistake. Wish I would have picked up a second. It has been abyssmal here in Rochester, but I actually found 1 Kup figure today at the North WM, so I picked him up. Other than that, yuck.

-perks up- You say you found a Kup, mmm? I've seen Dirge in a couple of places around here. I'll keep an eye peeled if ya like.
That said, the Ridgedale Target in Minnetonka recently restocked a bunch of Scout figures like Sunspot, Firetrap, Breacher etc. On one hand, I needed me a Sunspot, so that was nice. On the other, they restocked with a bunch of old figures. haha

Plymouth Target has couple Dirge, too, with correct insignia. They also have BOBB on clearance at $29.99.

Personally, I'd go with Perceptor. I'm not all that into the G2 Prime.

Perceptor. Hands down. You are already lucky finding them and should just grab on sight.

That brings me to another question, actually. Have any of you ever experienced a situation in which a wave was essentially skipped? For example, let's say the retail stores don't sell enough Deluxes right now to order a new batch until the next wave is being sent. Know what I mean?

I think so. Especially toward to the end of a line. And the first wave is always over stocked and then the second wave has to suffer (I think this is happening everywhere).

heh. My partner brought up an interesting point. With all of the Targets around here, it's probably difficult for them to run out of stock. That is, if we were talking about one Target within more than 10 miles, they might run out more quickly. As it is, the Target at Ridgedale is just starting to thin out on Deluxes, but the Super Target just down the road is packed with 'em. I dunno.
So whatev. It looks like I may be ordering online. haha

Good news and bad news:
I found a Kup and a Scourge at the TRU at Southtown Ctr. in Minneapolis, so they're coming in.
They were the only ones. :-/.

Saw Kup and Scourge, no Wreck-Gar, at Walmart in Brooklyn park (Hwy 81). Wierd though, I tried to buy the one package of Power Core Constructicons, but they wouldn't let me buy them. I really didn't care that much since I really only buy the PCC for my son, but it did bug me.

No idea, and I really don't care enough about the PCC to argue. My best guess is that there is a release schedule and that particular toy shouldn't have been on the shelf yet.
Because of that. I'm optimistic of the shelves filling with new stuff one more time before the DotM toys hit in May.
Iron Prime wrote:Agamemnon wrote:Saw Kup and Scourge

Yeah, I left them there. I already got my stuff from BBTS (I'm under the gun in the upcoming months and didn't want to fret hunting for Wheeljack and Kup in particular.) This particular Walmart is where I usually see the first stuff hit before they hit the Targets in the area. Happy hunting!

(By the way, Kup and Scourge are pretty sweet. I think I still like the Titanium Scourge for my classics shelf, but B2 Flying Wing Scourge's robot mode rocks pretty hard.

Re: Minnesota Transformers sightings
Kup and Scourge are still there at the Brooklyn Park Walmart. The 5 pack PCC Constructicon is still there. If you missed one, they still have one Blurr, with good paint apps. Like Agamemnon, I totally don't care about PCC and if I do, that's for my son and he got two 5 pack and one 2 pack already.
Not really doing any hunting now. As you all know, the gas price is so high and I now order them from either BBTS or HTS. Just preordered Wheeljack, Thundercracker, Warpath set last week from BBTS. Maybe until summer time when we don't have those pile of snows outside and if gas price is lower.

you should try to buy it again. i got them in november from a walmart.
i already said this but i found a wrek-gar a while ago but forgot my money at home. now that same target only has rts G2 prime and about 5 battle in space.
just got rts lugnut in the mail from ebay. $20 for purchase and $10 shipping i think that was a good buy. i've got him with his animated and cybertron counter parts

Constructicons keep showing up on the shelf. Cashier took pity on me and let me purchase them. Also, if you haven't yet gotten the last waves of Generations (Darkmount, Cliffjumper, Thunderwing, Blurr, maybe others) there's a buttload now at the Brooklyn Park Walmart. There's a new endcap of the Preview DotM OP figure with all the Generations. Only red cards, so no more RtS in the endcap.
Now we just need that last wave of scouts with hopefully Windcharger and Rumble.
