Not stupid at all. So far this has all been a big tease. It looks like MMC is moving forward though, and I would expect preorders very soon.

I really want Azalea, not that I don't like the Hasbro one, But I honestly was hoping IDW Arcee and Azelea fits the bill well enough. Granted I will say Azelea's Vehicle mode isn't all that impressive. So I like MMC Azalea's Robot mode better than the hasbro figure, but I like the 80's futuristic sports car better than Azaleas carish vehicle. Ah well guess I'll try and get both XD

Going off Peaughs test shot review it's very near the final stages one or two minor corrections to make .

I don't really need this one. I wouldn't mind a Firestar verson of the mold in similar colors though. I really didn't like the Botcon Flareup too much.

I saw her at Botcon. Those pics really don't do that head justice. There's a lot of details underneath that ridge that will show through nicely once painted.

So, is this a different colored Azalea with a custom Renderform head for Feral Queen? No disrespect, just wondering. Still a buy on my part, but it would be kinda cool if she had her own alt-mode.

I just think the Hasbro one looks better. Cleaner and nicer head sculpt. Engineering of course goes to MMC

Unique character. If I had to guess, I'd say that Arcee was in the works for some time, to the point of getting molds made. Then, when one of the Predacons was molded, they did a test shot in the same colors. Then as a teaser on April 1, they put the Arcee in Predacon colors up on the shoulder of a test shot of Feral Rex. I and others loved the look. I think MMC was surprised by the positive reaction to Arcee in Pred colors that they went forward with this idea.

This is all conjecture, of course. But the end result is, that it appears that I can put a nice "accessory" on my Feral Rex.

Ahh ok.I knew it's origins just wasn't sure if there's a homage in there somewhere.So MMC is going to make this "accessory" and an extra repaint/retool of rampage for their Prediking? lol Pretty crazy that this is all viable, but awesome for everyone wanting all of it.

I like the looks of this but I'm not sure I like it enough to buy it. I'm in for the other MMC girls & that price tag adds up. If this doesn't sell out, maybe I'll be in for her a little later down the road.

So with Feral Queen officially announced this weekend, I can show the work we are doing on the project. Here are the concept designs so far for the head. These are made to get an idea where to go with the new character. The last one shown is my favorite design, and the one we went with to unveil the project. The head isn't yet designed to actually work with the Azalea's altmode. The final design will be different, to work with the figure. Depending how different, I'll probably do a director's cut edition of the head (no compatible with altmode) through Renderform. The actual Feral Queen release will come with a new head sculpt made in the factory. We're also planning some weapons, which will be made through the Renderform label, as there isn't space on the existing tooling to make them through the factory.

(And props to you A-G! Thanks for posting these and all the other pictures you have recently. When I see you post to a topic, I cannot wait to get in and see what's there! )

Im all for new characters, but to me having a car alt mode kills the whole female predacon concept. This character really needs to transform into a cheetah, bird of prey, or some other slim agile warm blooded predator. I love renderforms work, but lately he has been focused on projects I have no interset in I did preorder his orion head. But I personally think theres a lot of funpub figures that need their own unique head sculpts that he should focus on rather than trying to enhance 3rd party figures that already have awesome head sculpts. If he would do heads for machine wars starscream, pyro/spark, Or a head for the upcoming tfcc treadshot, I would buy them all. I would also love to see him do a proper G1 head for the orion pax figure for those of us who hate the IDW prime without a faceplate look. And if he were to do a new head for transmutate, alot mor people would be interested in buying that figure. Theres alot of money to be made that he isnt capitalizing on with the official figures that really need his help to look better.
