- Motto: "I'd just like to remind you all that I'm best. Thank you."
- Weapon: Mighty Ear
Got bored, so I thought I'd list off all the easter eggs and references in the Adaptation comic that I've found. Feel free to add to the list.
In order of appearance:
01. As Blackout emits the scrambler that disables the base's computers, a red truck cab can be seen in the bottom right hand of the panel.
02. On Sam's desk is a small toy of Kremzeek. On the wall is a poster that reads something similar to 'ZIS'. Turning the Z and 'S' around would make it look just like the NIN logo. Also, in the panel, eBay is replaced by 'ePay'.
03. Further down the same page, when Sam goes to buy his first car, there are numerous cameos. As Sam and Ron enter the lot, on the right are Sideswipe and Brawn. In the next panel, Bolivia is showing Sam a Pontiac Solstice (Jazz), and as they leave the lot, Alternator Skidz can be seen in the background.
04. The guards onboard Air Force One resemble characters from Final Fantasy 7, specifically Rudy and Reno (I believe, I only saw Advent Children a couple times)
05. As Sam awakes to see Bumblebee being 'stolen', behind his bed is a poster of GI Joe, and next to it 'TFW2005'.
06. As Barricade enters Tranquility, behind him can be seen Optimus Prime's red cab and trademark trailer (G1), and also G1 Ratchet following close behind Barricade himself. Also, to the left on the Tranquility welcome sign is a mountain with a large orange protrusion sporting three large circles, a clear nod to the G1 Ark.
07. As Sam races past Mikaela on the bicycle, to the far left can be seen a punk rocker with purple hair, which, I believe is the same rocker from the G1 episode 'SOS Dinobots', who said "Now that's what I call heavy metal!".
08. In the following panel, as Sam races away, on the road are G1 Ironhide and G1 Trailbreaker, who drive past a shop with a sign reading 'IDW.COMICS'.
09. As Sam races into the carpark, and before he hits Barricade, the cars around him are Classics Bumblebee (at least the paint job is identical), next to that is a car with a distinctive colour scheme that I can't identify, and next to that is Trailbreaker. Almost opposite the Classics Bumblebee is a sandy looking SUV/Jeep that looks slightly like Outback.
10. When Barricade finally transforms, the license plate on the car next to him reads 'ALXMLN', a reference to the comic's artist Alex Milne.
11. When Mikaela and Sam are in Sam's bedroom, the posters on the walls sport images of generic Gundams distinguished by the 'mouth guard' and 'head crest' familiar to the series.
12. When Lennox enters the pawn shop, the shelf behind the shop owner carries a GI Joe lunchbox, and on the bottom shelf, a toy of Cy-Kill.
Well I'm sure this list has already been made somewhere else on the net, and I've probably missed a few. Ah well. Enjoy.
