Seems like every store I go to is sold out of movie toys. On the other hand, they *do* have alot of other things going on in terms of Transformers if you avoid Wal-Mart (which has nothing of nothing)
And I'm totally not complaining; in fact, it's worked out very well for me. I'm being introduced to older lines (by older, I mean in the last year or two) and they're really awesome.
For example, at Sears in Pekin, IL (where I live) I got a bunch of Classics - Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Mirage, Astrotrain, and Starscream.
At two different TRU in the St. Louis area, I got a bunch of Cybertron stuff - Skywarp (which I really don't care for), Soundwave Voyager (which rocks), Dark Crumplezone, two Minicon sets, and some other stuff like the 20th DVD Prime (which is OK but not what I was hoping for), the Classics "Ultimate Battle" two-pack (again, not great, but not terrible), and then a couple of my movie toys - the 6-pack legends and three FAB's (Ratchet, Jazz, and Frenzy).
And occasionally Wally World does have something, I got an Alternator Rumble at one and a Classics Ramjet at another.
So I really have the movie to thank for getting me back into the Transformers, and also for getting a ton of other people into it, too, so I can discover all the stuff I've been missing.
In right at a month now, I think I've spent about $350 on Transformers (which is bound to slow down now, since I'm seeing the same stuff everywhere...either nothing at all or things I already have). And most of it is because of recommendations I found here since I've joined. Thanks, guys. Now to buy a bookshelf for display space...
