It's too bad the Japanese version will remain in the U.S. packaging. The Japanese packaging is superior with removeable trays that allow the pieces to go back.

True, however the trays are, for me, only superior when the box has a window through which I can see the figure, a feature, sadly, the MP boxes are lacking.

Possibly but it's the same sort of paint they used on the Kiss Players figures it's very tough and durable. I find it almost inconceavable that it will ever chip. It looks much better than just bare plastic.

Skywarp was not a new cast and the flaws with MP-03 were massivly exagerated, the issues with the mould were QC related and these appear to have been worked out over time. There is no actual changes made to the mould for Skywarp other than remoulding of the alternate faces part.

Well thanks. I feel better about him now. I sent all the information about W-M SS, to my mom, and hopefully I'll be getting him in the mail for X-mas.

I am also remolded in a different color plastic... it's silly to think a toy could hold up repainted..

Well if we're going to get pedantic about it a remould implies that the original 'mould' has been changed in some way. A recast would imply creating a new cast or casting the same figure in different materials. However the term repaint is commonly used to mean the same mould but in different colour, obviously different colour plastic will be used to achive many of the new colours, but it is still refered to as a repaint.

That's a relief. I always like the toy in base plastic colors. Less worry on chipping paints. And in case the toy accidentally get scratched, the inside will still be in the correct colors.

Skywarp is moulded in black plastic with a glossy coat of black or possibly transparent paint. Starscream is bare plastic and therfore has a matt complexion. Those are the facts.

either way, it's not an MP-03 with paint slapped on it..I wasn't being "smart" just trying to clarify that.. but thanks for the additional explanation AK..we always need more indepth info for the Noobs..

It was my sig when MP03 came out with the line

"Who said animated coloured seekers would look rubbish?" or something like that due to the guy who desinged MP03 saying he had that colourscheme on the jet as he thought it would not look good if it was anime coloured.

Personally, I don't care if they make MP Thundercracker, I am only owning one of this mould, and that was the first SS. Though it would be daft for them not to release a Thundercracker at some point.
