I've have always wanted an Overlord but like so many others I keep that desire deep down because of the price. I just recently put together the Kabaya version and while it's nice, it doesn't come close to the real deal. The Kabaya toy has however reignited my desire to own this toy. My thoughts have turned from day dreaming owning this toy to how to finance such a purchase. I am considering selling my iGear MP Coneheads to come up with the cash. I think I might enjoy Overlord more than the coneheads. What do you all think?

It is sheer torture that Kabaya keeps on releasing the mini me versions of the Masterforce crew............while the KO makers are busy ripping off their IPs :sad:

IMO, the appeal of Overlord is relative to the appeal of Masterforce. What I mean is, if you liked the show, you'll probably enjoy the figure, due to the sentimental value attached. I didn't. I watched the show once and wasn't impressed a bit. I liked both Victory and Headmasters more. I remember wanting an Overlord so bad for the longest time. I finally bought one and was disappointed, after the initial rush wore off. It is a huge figure, with very minimal posability. It's heavy and takes up a lot of room in all modes. If you're a completionist and have the room, get it. But, to me at least, it was not worth the years of anticipation, or the money I paid. ($450) That's why I sold it not long after I got it. I broke even on it, but I didn't care. As I said, just my opinion.

I love that it is a huge figure. My Victory Saber is my favourite toy in my collection. I am also G1 fanboy through and through so the minimal posability doesn't bother me one bit. Articulation is highly overrated, I don't even pose the figures I have that have articulation.

I got him when I was 12, Masterforce never aired in the UK but I still thought he was cool anyway.

I recently gave him to my 5 year old boy and he thinks he's equally as awesome as I do.

Having just bought an Overlord recently myself - wow. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Fun in all three (four?) modes, and probably one of the top Base Modes in all of G1. Does a lot of what Scorponok tried to do in base mode but a lot better, and really feels like it has some true interactivity for the Godmasters which the Ginrai trailer tried to do but didn't quite succeed.
