My first TF works, G1 Superion

Postby magnummer » Mon Sep 18, 2006 11:08 am

Hello everybody, I am a newbie here. Lots of wonderful TF works on this forum impressed me very much, so I share my first works with all friends love TF.

Crafted out of KO Superion and some Gundam kits, then repainted.
Rebuilt Silverbot's body and made it stronger than original toy. Used Gundam kits to add Superion's activity, even the toes can move. This Superion can't transform coz i am afraid the paint is not hard enough to bear scrape druing transform. Hope friends here will like it.

The pics link to my album on Chinese server, so speed will be slow, pls be patient.

I've seen this before in another thread. I'm not a big fan of non-transforming Transformers, but this is gorgeous. I love it. It's cartoon accurate, well sculpted, and beautifully colored. My only gripes are that Slingshot forms the right arm and Fireflight forms the left arm. In the cartoon it was the other way around. Also, Superion's eyes were red in the toon.

Wow, nice work.

Odd fact, Fireflight is, probably, my fav TF character (if anyone was ever on the TF2 MUSH, waaaay back in the day, I RP'd him for years). And the Aerialbots my fav team.

You've done a great job, displays really well. :)

That looks amazing. Too bad he can't transform but he looks bad ass anyways. Good job.

His eyes were red in the cartoon...right?

Yeah, I finished it two month ago, my goal is to creat a proportional Superion for display. And I refer to DW comic book's style instead of TV cartoon, coz I think TV omit too many details on characters. Below is a major referenced pic when design.

by the way, you can't see any screw on my Superion^_^

 Beautifully done this Gestalt, though it's too bad he can't transform.

Ah, I never thought it would be DW based. The arms are still swapped around though, but they still look cool.

Beautiful work! The fact that he can't transform is more than compensated for by the level of articulation you've added. And the paintjob's great, too.
Look forward to seeing more! :D
