My Sister-in-law is disgusting!

Fair warning: this thread contains a subject that many, including myself, find very sensitive: abortion. I don't mean doing to the clinic or whatever and doing it that way, I'm talking about doing it yourself. If you still want to read on, than do so at your own discretion.

OK, I know this may not be the best thing to bring up on a TF forum. Actually, I know it's far from the best thing to talk about...But dammit, I need to get it off my chest in one way or another, and this is the only place I know that won't immediately kick-ban me for venting about something I abhor (at least, I hope they don't #-o )!

All right, this is what happened...I was seeing my husband, who's a caretaker for a very nice senior citizen, off to work. He gets rightfully pissed at having to pick up after his sister, again, even though cleaning the house is part of the job in the first place. Come to find out, our niece had to cover for her because she was going to the hospital. That's when my husband tells us that yesterday or the day before, he went to go to the toilet before relieving his sister from her shift, and there was watery blood with yellowish liquid all over the seat. When he went to look in the bowl, all he saw was what he described as "looked like guts and blood" in it. He brought it to his sister's attention, and she was just like "Oh, thanks", and flushed it without showing a single bit of emotion.

No worry, no sadness...not even the slightest bit upset.

When I told my husband it sounded like she had a miscarriage, our niece told us that that was impossible, as my sister-in-law had her tubes tied. Come to find out, that wasn't the case. My husband told us that she told everyone that, but she didn't. For at least five years, she had been...well, I don't think I need to say it.

I don't know about you, but that's making my insides hurt just thinking about it. I've personally had two miscarriages, and I still want to cry every time I think about what I lost. To think that someone would deliberately do that to themselves, and kill an innocent child because they're too stupid and selfish to think about telling their partners to wear a condom, or to just go out there and actually get their tubes tied like they said they did, is....I can't even fathom it.

OK, I'm done getting this off my chest. I really, honestly hope to anything and everything good and descent that I hadn't caused anyone pain by their reading this. I just really had to put it out there, and I can't vent to anyone else I know, because they'll consider me a liar, or they'll just think of some bullshit to bury the truth with, as usual. Sad, I know, but that's how it is.

Hey, it's better to vent here than most other forums. Don't feel bad about doing so, I'm sure that if it's offensive or too controversial, they'll warn you about posting anything else like that in the future before they ban you, and just delete or lock the thread. The important thing is, you got it off your chest...*stares at Moonshatter's chest* And you have plenty to spare, I see :P

...Sorry, I was trying to lighten your mood with a joke. I apologize for it's inappropriateness :-/

Wow. I gotta admit, thats twisted. she faked having her tubes tied. Did she want a child by someone else? was she just afraid of surgery?

I'm more shocked about the deviousness of it all. also doesnt having your tubes tied get rid of your period? No one noticed that?

Sounds like she's screwed up in the head 8-}

Well, I tried to read through it, but quite honestly, it made me sick. Not because I care about abortion either way, but because it was just disgusting, like the title said.

BTW, I can't wait until Negare reads this...

I can barely finish this. It just makes me sick. I'm a pro-lifer, and I just can't understand how someone could be so balls-up inhumane and callous. :-x

Look for a small positive: Your sister-in-law knew she wouldn't be a fit parent. If she had the child, chances would be that the child would be neglected and mistreated. And, in my opinion, that would be much worse.

Longarm: Don't feel bad. As bad as your timing was, the fact you tried to take my mind off of this was appreciated :)

NV: Nope, it just stops the eggs from going through the tubes. A woman's body will still go through its regular cycle, which is how she's gotten away with this so easily.

Rodimus: Well, I'm glad even one as neutral on the subject as you sees how screwed up she is.

omega: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so! Here she is, she has THREE KIDS ALREADY (the oldest of which really wants nothing to do with her, and is almost 18), and she's still thinking like she is...That alone pisses me off, not to mention what I said before. As to my loss: there's no apology necessary, you're not the one who made it happen, it just means I wasn't ready (and I really wasn't, I had almost 19 when the first one happened, and the next was when I had just turned 20. Goes to show you that those condoms the clinics hand out SUCK :-x )

Grimlock: That's the thing with her. She can be lazy, arrogant, and strung-up on crack while not caring about the consequences, yet God forbid you call her out on it, or you do the same thing to show her what she's doing to those around her (I wouldn't touch the drug part with a 20-mile stick, but other than that, it still applies). She's one of the examples as to why I don't initially trust a lot of people >_>

Halo: Yeah, the bad thing is, she's already a parent 3 times over, with her youngest going on 6 years right now. I agree, having to see my nieces and nephew treated like they have been makes me want to...never mind, I'm trying to let this go.

To everyone: She does her best to be a parent, but she just won't grow the hell up, and thinks that as long as she can dump her children on someone else to babysit *points to self*, she can go get strung-up on crack or whatever her drug of choice is (she has gouges on her face from where she's been digging at it, a dead giveaway she's back to her old habits.) Don't get me wrong, I love her kids, but I'm not their parent and she shouldn't assume anyone, including her own parents, would be a viable substitute for the structure she needs to provide.

The saddest part about this selfish ass being a parent is this: the little one clings to her like there's no tomorrow, yet she treats him like a nuisance a lot of the time. He's only being a pain because he knows that's the quickest way to get her to notice him (Also, rug-rats like him always have a lot of energy, even more than I have #-o. I mean that in an affectionate way of course). Now that his biological father won't let him go back to his mother...it's going to devastate them both.

Thanks again for all of your support.

Ho ho ho. And here I am...

Anyway... there's actually a movement, based on the net and probably in real life circles where women are encouraging self-abortion, which, well, I'm more concerned with the medical danger they're placing themselves in by doing this. On the web there are sites that talk about herbs and even physical methods which can result in all kinds of damage to the body.

Anyway, to the matter at hand.

Firstly, the comment that aborting a child is more merciful then to bring one into a world of hurt and neglect. News flash - there are thousands upon thousands of couples (basically enough to meet the abortion demand number) to adopt these so called "unwanted" children. There are people out there who are suffering big time from the inability to have children naturally and they end up langusihing on waiting lists. Children in foster care are in legal limbo and can't just be adopted at the drop of a hat. And seriously, its 2009, how much sex ed do you need? The Internet, TV, an [un]Planned Parenthood on every corner. To have an unwanted pregnancy is just evidence of stupidity.

As for miscarriage, dear God do these women grieve for their lost children. Its tragic. I'll throw in an amazing story that I witnessed at my place of employ.

The gynae ward was full. The ward I was on at this point was a "dumping ground" as it was a particular speciality that didn't bring in patients in droves. A woman due for an abortion had been admitted, sheduled for the procedure the next day. She was in a 6 bed room (yes, we have 6 bed rooms in NZL hospitals). Anyway, two women in that room were miscarrying (there were heaps of miscarriages that night - we ended up with 6 on our ward!!) THe woman in the bed next to her was having her 5th miscarriage and had been through 14 rounds of IVF, they had mortaged their house, business and sold their cars in an attempt to have a child, they had not been successful with waiting lists. The women got to talking as patients do. Long story short - the abortion minded woman after listening too and seeing the grief and despeartion of the MCing woman was so moved she asked me to make a referral to the social worker and guess what, an "unwanted baby" got a home!

My job has taught me to hate abortion even more, for the horror that it inflicts on women and their lives. God, I don't even work in a gynae or pscyh ward and every week I'm meeting women who tell me how much they regret their "choice".

Not to mention, abortion has dehumanised the unborn so much that a woman who miscarries is not acknowledge by society, and told she's foolish to grieve!

My mum miscarried and I'd have a 26 year old brother if she hadn't, yet, years on, my mum still grieves for the son that never breathed. You really have to meet these women to truely see the damage this so called "pro-woman" movement has done.

Interestingly, my thoughts on abortion have evolved to a point where I'm more interested in the care of women and getting them to see abortion is a man-made construct designed to control women and delude them into being at a man's beckon call for reproduction only when the man desires.

As it is, this woman could have used Mifepristone (RU486). Thanks to the pro-aborts this damnable dangerous drug allows women to "complete the process" at home, which is medically dangerous.

The "Pro-choice" movement stopped caring about women a long time ago.
Something memorable here.

MS, while I don't know the whole story and don't pretend to claim so, my advice is you need to get her professional help. She'll hate you for it, she'll scream, curse, maybe even physically attack, but at the end of the day she'll be better for it, and so will her children.

Loving her kids is all very well and good, but if she's got a drug addiction she needs help, and fast, especially given the lifestyle that comes with such addiction is not safe for children to be around.

She could end up dead, and then you'd end up with those children for a bit longer then it takes to come down. Or heaven forbid, one of those children gets their hands on Meth.
Something memorable here.

Negare: She's supposedly been in rehab time and again, but still won't change. Even though I want her to seek the help she needs, everyone's given up on her, and I really can't get her to go on my own. I have a whole family stacked up against me, and parents-in-law that won't do **** about their own kid (they've done their best for years, but just gave up, like I said earlier).

The good thing is, her youngest daughter's away with her biological father for now, probably for summer break. As for the little boy...I think he's not going to be able to go back to see her due to his father not wanting to let him go back to that place.

Now for the bad part: No-one knows where the oldest daughter is, not even her supposed boyfriend. she's been gone for about two days now, but no-one seems to be worried about it.

*looks at what's she's typed so far* ...Wow, my husband was right when he said this family's so dysfunctional that it functions o.0
It's never a good idea to tick off a member of a race of beings who can dismantle anything within mere astro-seconds -.-;
