I keep thinking of common animals that I can't believe have never had the animal treatment. What are some animals that you'd like to see? Below is a list of some animals that I'd like to see.

Fly
Maggot
Venus Fly Trap
Millipede or Centipede (or how about both as a remold!)
A common Butterfly (such as a Monarch or something)
... with a moth remold!
Zebra
Hippopotamus (remold of Generations Rhinox?)
Porcupine
Deer with antlers
Moose
Cow (bull instead, but I think a Cow could be fun)
Pig (Hog remold?)
Giant Sloth
Kangaroo
Panda Bear
Sperm Whale with Blue Whale remold (Leader class please ... Beast Wars Tidal Wave!)
Dolphin
A Water Bear (not to scale obviously, but man these guys are awesome looking)
A proper Octopus
Angler Fish (with glow-in-the-dark or light-up feature)
Nurse Shark
Dunkleosteus
Piranha
Common birds such as a Pigeon or robin

A moose would be cool, and were that to happen, the character's buddy should be a squirrel.

That would be awesome.

I've always thought a couple of opportunities that Hasbro's sales team has missed over the years is not having "Transformers" at gift shops at Zoos, Sea World, or other animal exhibits. Same with "Transformers" at gift shops at Nascar races and such, or licensed Transformers sold at Dealership gift shops. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Ooh, this IS a neat idea for a thread! Allow me to contribute.

Firstly I'd love to see those proposed new mold ideas from BW Telemocha (the jellyfish, the triffid and one other I can't remember) resurrected. Those were awesome.

But anyway, animal ideas.

>Pufferfish
>Frog/Toad fembot (perhaps a Surinam Toad that launches drone-missiles out of its back?)
>Crayfish
>Horseshoe crab (perhaps for a new Submarauder seeing as his "submarine" mode was basically a horseshoe crab)
>Snail
>Centipede/millipede
>Giant salamander
>Ichneumon Wasp (AKA the Alien in insect form)
>Japanese spider crab
>Hercules or Atlas beetle
>Whip spider
>Any variety of termite (Soldier or Queen especially)
>Leech
>Spiny lobster

Also, perhaps a line of "Mecha-Fuzors" who would be triple changers with robot, beast and vehicle mode, ala the Transmetals (except better executed)? There would be original characters and existing characters given a makeover, such as:

>Original character "Hardcase"- Robot/Tortoise/Tank
>Original character "Tremor"- Robot/Mole/Drilltank

Pretty much every single animal Australia has that can kill you. Heck, there's enough for at least 2-3 waves!

But specifically ...
Great White Shark
Crocodile
Dingo
Koala (with a slight retooling to create a Drop Bear)
Kangaroo
Wombat
Platypus
Cassowary
Emu

And to completely freak people out, utilising the idea of a base structure from Combiner Wars, a bunch of venomous Australian spiders, all slightly retooled to look different, but able to combine into one big spider and I'm just shutting up now because I'm freaking myself out at the thought of a giant bloody spider combiner.

They can't even reliably get their figures into regular stores, of course they're not gonna do stuff like that!

Oooh so many animals I'd LOVE to see, I don't even know where to start...

Well, I'd like to see more... less "cool" animals. Beast Wars was very, well, 90s, with everything looking like it could kill you (TO THE EXTREME!!), even the rats --which are positively adorable animals-- got razor fangs and angry eyes. BW Neo got some much-needed variety in, but I'd like to see more. To be able to fill out a proper zoo or farm.

I'd also like to get a moose and a jellyfish, because both of those terrified me as a kid, and an Opabinia because that's my (current) favorite animal. Hell, just go crazy with the Burgess Shale.

And more Fuzors!

Peacock Spider!

Pelican Spider!

Ant-Mimic Spider! (bonus points if there are any Maximal ants)

Scorpion Tailed Spider!

Hawaiian Happy-Face Spider! (naturally, he'd be the head)

I approve of a moose with a squirrel sidekick that would be great. How about a sabertooth tiger? Sea turtle? Swordfish? Komodo Dragon? Thinking of all of these it's kind of surprising how many Beast Wars did actually do. Oh and although it's not technically an animal a griffin would be awesome.

I'm only familiar with the core characters from the original show, and don't really know of all the toys, so some of these may already be around, and assuming this isn't taking place on pre-historic Earth:

- Lion (male or female)
- Buffalo
- Black Panther
- Bald Eagle
- Cat
- Dog
- Bee (not the same as a wasp)
- BW versions of Slag, Snarl and Sludge

Why not the original Predacons? In both US and JP, nearly all the Noah's Ark passengers were released. Even the racoon with his ballz.

Thought I'd resurrect this conversation about four years ago. As much as a sucker for Beast Wars as I am, I still have grand visions of seeing new Beast Wars characters / toys at some point. A few years back, I made a list at the top of this topic of new alt-modes I'd like to see for Beast Wars characters that have never been used before. Curious if any of you have favorites from my list or suggestions of your own.

The millipede idea could be creepy fun, and I'd love to see more Beast Wars Combiners as well. I know many don't like them but I love Magnaboss and Tripedacus.

All of those sound great, the hippo in particular would be pretty awesome, especially if the mouth opened. Could be a Maximal or a Predacon too, given how cute they look (until they open their mouths) yet are incredibly dangerous.

A centipede or millipede would rock, but given that they're long, thin things with lots of articulated, very similar segments, they'd potentially be rather awkward to engineer a transformation from. Three ways I can think of doing it:
1: Just the head/front end transforms into a robotic upper torso, the rest of the body remains mostly the same in beast mode, giving the appearance of a sort of centipede mecha-lamia a bit like this but with tiny legs:

2: Do a Retrax style transformation (except better) with the length forming a pair of long tentacle-y arms.
3: Have three or more robots that transform into segments which combine to form the full beast mode. Technically you could combine more than one set to have an even longer centipede.

Another idea I had, not strictly related to BW mind, was either a pufferfish or sea urchin Transformer who could form a spiked flail for the upcoming Piranacon.

There's so many animals that'd make great Beast Wars toys, and even if you count the ones that only got made in Neo (not all of us were able to import at that time) and the stuff they only made in Fuzor/Transmetal/Transmetal 2/Mutant toys, there's so much potential left untapped.

One that's always been a dream toy for me would be a hermit crab, with a shell that functions as a "trailer" that could become a battle station and/or combine with the crab-bot into a super mode.

Man, a swordfish would be prime! I just really want to see an elk, a thorny devil, and a phoenix!

Retrax and Powerhug are pillbugs given their ability to roll up (Only Powerhug specifically calls that out however).
