I got Barricade, Blackout, Bumblebee, Wreakage and Booster X10(aka Laserbeak  ) all on Saturday and I'm very happy with all of them. I haven't had a single issue with them.

Postby saintsfan1983 » Mon Jun 04, 2007 11:19 pm

So far I have purchased the following:

Leader OP, No problems at all. Favorite Figure.
Ironhide, again no problems.
Jazz, pure love. Awesome bot and car mode, no probs,
Swindle, really cool, wish the head was longer, no probs
Blackout, great figure, no probs,
Ratchet, awesome figure, no probs,
Bumble Bee, neat figure mine broke, I fixed it, other than that no probs,
Barracade, Love this Decepticon, No probs, Frenzy is neet for free.
All 6 released Real Gear, My son is 3 and a half and we both will sit and play with these guys.

Overall I think Hasbro has done great lately, They just took over Toybiz Marvel Legends line and I think they have done great with that too. I can't wait to see what the Heroes line will look like next.
What Transformer are you? (Movie)

My Results:

Ironhide

You are the weapon specialist. You are probably the only Autobot who doesn't give a crud about the humans and repeatedly asks permission to blow something up. You are very strong and big as well as always suggesting the BIGGER sort of weapon. You are also good at sports; mostly contact sports. You can be easily irritated and may have anger issues. You also have a huge truck mode. Sweet.

Picked up Leader Prime, Laserbeak, Spy Shot, and Zoom Out tonight, and everything is still awesome. Need some more Robot Heroes, though.

And I really like, at least with the Autobots, that across the size classes the cars have a relatively realistic scale.

Barracade was my favorite movie design from the get go, and after playing with him a bit more yesternight I must say that he is a figure most excellent. I don't know how anyone could not love his "to punish and enslave" statement. He seems to be the most compelling of the characters for the movie so far.

If alot of people are complaining that the movie toys have fragility problems. Then it must be true. I'm glad that I haven't bothered with any of them. Nor will I even bother with the upcoming disappointing bay film next month. Which will be a bigger problem for many fans. Once they see for themselves. Cause alot of people have to be certain. So be it.

I meant I'm glad I haven't bought any of them so far. But I do lament for those that have already bought them ,and have issues with them.

Yeah, and there are about 50 other threads in which you can commiserate. This one's for people who actually like what they've purchased.

SpacerAM2, with all do respect, quit jumping the gun man.

Spend the $20 and get a Voyager Starscream. THEN, tell me how much these toys suck.

Until you do, you have no right to say anything.

I think a big reason there are so many problems is because of the Automorph Technology. For most of us, we are used to having to transform these guys manually. I come from the school of hard knocks, the 80s, and brickformers, so I know it takes getting used to. So we force them to do what they are not supposed to do. Parts break under pressure. Especially plastic.

Also, I think the idea of cheaper plastics being used could be accurate. I am certain production has been ramped up CONSIDERABLY for the movie toys because they are promoting a movie...a movie which, like it or not, will be a blockbuster. So, more kids see the film, they bitch at their parents to buy more Blackouts, Ratchets, and Primes. More are sold, so Hasbro tries to maximize the proffit-per-figure ratio.

With more media exposure, you will sell more toys. Hasbro may make mistakes (Like all of RiD, A/E/C), but they are not fools. So, what do they do? They ramp up production. This is where QC suffers. It is just simple probability. Anything complex made on a massive scale will have a few duds. This is more likely with something that needs to be engineered and thought-out like a Transformer, than, say, a Marvel legends figure that a drooling 5 year-old ould design. It is for this reason, and because of all the hype, that we seem to see more problems. When, in all actuality, the precentage of defects per 100 figures, is likely the same, if not similar.

This tread is meant to be POSITIVE.

So take you attitude and go to TFans.com. Their forum members are just as immature and juvenile as you are.

:APPLAUSE:

Skywarp-2 brought up a great point in another thread, that the movie designs were in flux almost until the very end of production, and Hasbro had to deal with that as well.

And I couldn't agree with you more. In hand, these figures gave me a completely new appreciation for the innovation and thoughtfulness of the designs. Sure, I wish Ironhide had a more 'traditional' face, but he's a solid bot with a lot more pros than (no pun intended) cons.

When the movie designs started leaking, I was a skeptic. As more images came out, and I saw the trailers, I started to come around. The toys in hand sealed the deal. It's not the best line ever, by any stretch, but are they Transformers? Hell yeah.

I have:

Jazz
Ironhide
Blackout
Starscream
Brawl
Barricade
Bonecrusher
Swindle
Wreckage

I really have not had ANY problems with mine, I got them, and after hearing all the griping, I was amazed that they were flawless. I really couldn't be more pleased with these figures. I cannot wait to get the rest!

I do have my right to say anything I like. Like everyone else. Too bad if you don't like it. Not everyone is going to share the same opinion. The film toys stink and so will the film stink. When it comes out next month. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

^ Honestly you can't say if the movie will be bad until you actually see it. If you don't like the movie designs, that's another thing, you can say you don't like them, but if you haven't seen the movie, you have no basis to say it's going to suck as a whole.

I was pretty skeptical too, but I'm reserving final judgement until I actually see the movie.

As for the toys, some of them are growing on me quite a bit, my list of figures I like has grown to 6.

As for this thread, it's for people to talk about the things they like about the new line, not *another* thread about the problems.

***

I'm beginning to think Ratchet looks really cool, I think he'll be my 2nd purchase out of the movie line. It was hard to pass on him lastnight at the TRU. I wonder if I should wait for the repaint though...

You ar free to voice your opinion, but you speak as though you head the whole fandom. saying the toys stink, so will the movie. Would it hurt to throw an 'I think' in there.

I'm not saying you shouldnt voice your opinion. Just voice it in a thread where it is appropriate.

Nobody is saying you can't voice your opinion. But for crying out loud, almost every other thread is chock full of people complaining. Please take your complaints somewhere (anywhere) else, and let those of us who like our movie toys discuss our enjoyment. This is not a argument/discussion/ debate thread; this is a shameless, self-indulgent glee fest of toy enjoyment.

Like...

Leader Prime is a complete beating stick. He's fun to transform, and the design is really growing on me. The wrist cannon is a nice touch.

See? It's not that hard.

Heaven forbid that there are TF fans that actually enjoy a summer full of Transformers.

Thanks.

I swear there are a few people on this site, some of them with thousands of posts to their credit that should have been banned a long time ago.

SpacerAM is acticng just like them.

This is a positive thread, a respite from all of the other negative threads. This is the whole point.

The point which SpacerAM has been missing.

Robovision Prime is quickly becoming my favorite figure of the line. Sure he's not totally movie accurate but none of them are perfect. However his transformation is fun yet challenging, the sculpt is fantastic, and the little holo-driver that folds out from the seat is such a cool little feature. I showed my fiance and even she thought it was really cool, and she doesn't even really like TF's (although she's surprisingly pumped about the movie).

My only noteworthy problem with the movie toys is that there's so many, and I can't afford them all at once...

That's really more a problem with my paycheck, though.

Motion seconded. All in favor?

BTW, since there is a topic for this thread, and it's a positive one...

I picked up the rest of the Robot Heroes last night. Shrapnel is really well done for that scale, and Rodimus is just hilarious looking. He cracks me up every time I look at him. Waiting to got to Target on Friday to see about picking up a Starscream. Apparently things are selling well so far...even the old woman at my KB, who thought the movie was already out, was saying the figures had sold really well this week. I gotta say I enjoy the complete sensory overload that is the TF marketing bandwagon.
