Oh way earlier, Spider-Man and His Amazing friends had all types of guest stars and often featured the X-Men, DR Doom and The Hulk.

The 90's X-Men show had a cross over with Spider-Man who's show guess stared everyone.

X-Men Evolution even had a Captain America episode.

Change as it will, the Marvel Universe will all ways be just that, and you'll never know who will show up where or when, you just know that given enough time, they will!

It's a post-apocalyptic future in the Marvel Universe, and Marvel tends to cross-over when these things happen. An appearance by nyone wouldn't surprise me. Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, hell, even Squirrel Girl wouldn't shock me.

Superman would, though, for obvious reasons.

Maybe because the Hulk and Wolverine have a connection????

Maybe because Wolvernine's first appearance was in a Hulk comic book????

Which I have by the way

I was a little reluctant to even look in this thread given how much X-men: Evolution sucked, but I'm glad I did.

As others have already stated, I agree that the whole plot of putting Wolverine in charge is so against his true character that it is a blatant attempt to entice more new viewers to watch, but I am very glad to see that this series is very much a re-telling of the original 90's series.

I'm definitely going to give it a watch and will adore it if the bring in Apocalypse and Cable. They can have it so that it will turn out that Apocalypse was behind the construction of the Sentinels all along to be his army.

All-in-all, I'm glad to see this show go back to old-school roots.

OoOoO! A new X-Men cartoon makes me happy....in a way.

I LOVE the X-Men comic bunches, but the animated series from the 90's was just pure FAIL on countless levels! When I saw this thread, I had to consider whether I actually wanted to look at it or not, since the immense failure that the original attempt to animate X-Men, but I will check this version out! Logan has always been one of my favorite X-Men (along with 3/4 of the known universe), so I will be watching very critically of the application of the character. I will also take into consideration that it, no doubt, will STILL be a kids' cartoon.......

Awwww... I liked the '90s cartoon! I used to get up at 7 AM every Saturday morning and sit through all the stupid cartoons just so I could watch X-Men, which came on at 10. My favorite character happens to be Gambit, and I'm really happy to see that he will be in this cartoon!

Awesome is an over statement.I've been reading X-men since the late 70's and I only watched the 90's cartoon because it was the first X-men cartoon to get a regular airing.

I felt it was my duty as a fan to watch be to tell the truth I was very disappointed by the show.

I was in the same boat! LOVED the comic, felt it my duty to check out of the show when it first aired, saw the first pilot movie (3-ep dealie), and was so pissed off by it, I never bothered again with it. If a show can wuss out a comic any more than the 90's X-Men cartoon did for X-Men comics, I have not yet located it!

They made Wolverine an effin' PANSY!

Cannot live with that. Just cannot.

Are we talking about the same cartoon here?

The 90's cartoon seemed to me to be quite dark, and well written.
With good stories, it even had Dark Phoenix, the Shi'Ar empire.
Characters were dying, they were in Jail.

It had very good continuity, and Wolverine was not a Pansy.
Ignore the music, but here's 90's Wolvy kicking butt:

Short of actually shedding blood this was a very good interpretation of Wolverine.

Xmen:Evolution on the other hand was a little less than mediocre.

You mean characters were "dying." Nobody truly died in that cartoon, at all.

Plus it really wasn't an x-men cartoon. Since 95% of the stories revolved around Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue and Jubilee.

95% weren't about those four. Apocalypse vs. Cable, Cyclops and Jean being captured and tormented by Mr. Sinister, Magneto and his asteroid, Professor dealing with his evil side as well as his own inner despair. Did you actually watch the show or are you just another person who is on this thread saying they hate the show and hardly ever watched it?

No, I watched it religiously when it was on. I enjoyed the show then, but watching it now. It really was just about Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue and Jubilee.

Oh sure you had the episode where Prof X dealt with Shadowking on the Astral Plane, or how Jean "died" saving the X-men on the shuttle craft and crashing into the ocean. Or the episodes dealing with Storm taking over the Morlocks.

Then theres the brief episodes with Iceman, Havok, X-factor and Polaris, which I never got to see that entire arc.

But more or less, the episodes dealt mostly with Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue and Jubilee, Marvel's cash cows at the time.

If you watch the entire series now, the episodes about Wolverine far outnumber the ones centering around the rest of the X-men.

Although I still think the ones introducting Colossus and Nightcrawler were the best out of the series.

I used to watch the 90s show on Saturday mornings, but my heart belonged to Spiderman. Still, the show was fairly enjoyable, and I'll give this one a shot.

Oh...and I know we're talking about a Marvel cartoon here, but I don't want to make a thread for it....have you guys seen the supposed "Two Face" pic for Dark Knight? Holy crap!!

The 90's show was awesome, granted it was pretty PC which ment alot of things had to be sugar coated and alot of stories distorted.

But costume, story, and theme went hand in hand with the comics they where making that day. Thats Jim Lees Rouge, Jean Gray, Gambit, and so on in a animated style. As for Cable, Bishop, and Apocowhoever, well, those where the highlights of that day.

The stories however, stayed true to what the Xp-Men always represented, it always made a point on focusing on persecution, equality, and exceptance, in a time of racial strife and space wars, while tapping on the need to tell stories to apease and remind a fanbase.

But my main reason to quote you is that you said ignore the music in the clip show. Initialt I agreed, but half way through, I realized that song was a great song for Ol' Patch.

This was my main complaint with the 90's X-show.

They could have found a way to remain PC and not sugar coate it so much.

This show was released after Batman the animated serries so they already had the blue print on doing a great show and they failed.

Yeah, the 90s Batman rocked. You can catch it on Jetix nowadays. Good show. Watched it every afternoon in the third grade.

Good things are happening with Batman.

The 90's show was awesome, granted it was pretty PC which ment alot of things had to be sugar coated and alot of stories distorted.

This was my main complaint with the 90's X-show.

They could have found a way to remain PC and not sugar coate it so much.

This show was released after Batman the animated serries so they already had the blue print on doing a great show and they failed.

Yeah but PC and SUGAR COAT are the same thing.

PC is just a polite and professional way of letting **** up things being personified in daily life, sugar coating it is a lat ditch attempt at still bringing it to an obvious forfront without offending people with serious issues, that themes like X-Men brought to forfronmt as a way to educate in a unbiast way.

It's **** up how in doing whats right, even good messages get softened and sweetened

The fact that **** is stared out, even here is prof of this.
