Well I am some thoughts on what the next transformers series will be about see we know that the writers from the Transformers movies are suppose to be working on the next series.

Also we got sort of a code that might also hint as to what that next series will be "Hunt For The Decipticons" all though some say this is a new code for a new toy line such as Universe and others of that nature.

I say it could be a series were it takes place after the events of revenge with the Autobots/NEST hunting the remaining decipticons.

They could set it up how they are connecting Clone Wars to eventually lead up to the opening events of Star Wars Episode III.

They start the new series from the ending of revenge and eventually have the the series connect with Transformers 3 in 2011.

Show the next series until the movie hits that way the cartoons series can keep us busy while we are all awaiting the 3rd Film.

Look I dont know that this will be the next series this is just my educated guess is all my theory if you will.

I say it could also be another new series such as Animated was or heck it could even be Animated 2.0 a coninuation of sorts.

Or the next thing could be based of the IDW comic series such as All Hail Megatron or OnGoing or Reign of Starscream those would make for excellent series.

Also they make a prequel to Beast Wars showing us how Megatron and his gang stole the Golden Disk and thus leading up to the events of Beast Wars.

They are so many cool ideas for a next series I just hope it dosent suck and is on par with Animated that was a really great series it had so much potential and sub-plots it is to bad it got the axe before it could reach its potential.

But I guess they like retarded crap like Chowder and bringing back stuff from the stone age like Looney Toones.

Any new Transformers series is going to have a couple of things going against it.

The first is Hasbro. Unlike Marvel, DC or Star Wars who use projects to grow their brands instead of merely trying to sell comic books Hasbro with the exception of the live action cash cow is pretty much focused on selling toys.

The second is the short shelf life of action cartoons. Action shows in America rarely last beyond 3 seasons even the great ones with exceptions like Batman: TAS, Codename: KND and Thundercats. Meanwhile, more humor based shows like Ed, Edd & Eddy, Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls & The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy were on for 5,6,7 years so if youre a network looking for programming which genre are you are apt to pick?

The 3rd is the nature of kids TV in 2009. Transformers are giant robots with big ass guns that do a lot of damage but with all these nutty parent groups the action has to get watered down because of the guns. This is why in Transformers Animated you had Megatron with this big cannon on his arm constantly pulling out two swords to fight with. I look at the fight scenes in Transformers Animated and compare it to The Spectacular Spiderman (particularly the black suit Spidey against the Sinister Six fight) and it isn't even in the same league.

Three brings me to four which is demographics. You're going to have to pry the male toy buying demographic out of Hasbro's cold dead hands. I dont blame them for that since it has served them well for over 25 years but with the exception of IDW's comics they have pigeonholed themselves with Transformers. Hasbro pretty much ignores their older fans who dont necessarily buy toys. There were alot of older fans that help the movies make over a billion and a half at the box office and were talking about people who havent bought a toy since they were 10. Hasbro threw a bone to GI Joe fans with Resolute but who knows if we Transformers fans will get the same love.

You cant tell me a GI Joe: Resolute-like Transformers DTV movie wouldnt push a 1M DVD sales.

I am hoping something well be announced around the 1st of 10 around Jan or Feb 10 maybe they will announce something at another convention like how they 1st showed us Animated at TF Con or whatever it is called they are 2 big ones for Transformers one in Canada and one in the US not unless it is just one big convention that goes to both Canada and the US.

I dont know Ive never been to a convention such as Comic-Con, TFCon, PAX, E3 and Others of course E3 is close of to the general Public.

Comic-Con is usually in California and those places as I am in Tennessee.

My biggest thrill would to be going to E3 or Comicon or a TF convention man you can really load up on the cool gear and swag.

I am not going to talk about TF for awhile as I dont forsee this series till late 2010 most likely Fall/Winter or Q1 11 around Jan or Feb depending on thier announcement and plans for the next series.

I am going to be super busy on my 360 and others to be to busy to care about TF but that is ok at least we got the re-release of g1 back, plus cool comics we can watch Revenge, GI Joe & Star Trek now.

Also all kinds of new comics so all and all no big deal about waiting on the next series but I would like some sort of annoucement sooner rather than later.

The wierd thing is watching Transformers on a new channel and not on CN like others as the next series will be on Kids-Discovery yet to be renamed channel.

I'm desperately hoping for a combination of the two, meaning, TF:A 2.0 where current Con leadership has been captured but the Autobots are tasked with "cleaning up" the reamining forces, Strika's group for instance. Optimus' group would be a natural choice for this taskforce and so be accepted in to the elite guard. This would also include Megatron escaping somewhere around season 2 of the new show, probably at fault of Sentinal Magnus.

Knowing are luck it wont be anything to do with either the movie-verse or Transformers Animated like we are hoping it will be.

It maybe an entirely new show with now connections to anythin and no place in the transformers timeline meanins it will be stand-alone series in new direction for a new age.

Dammit I just want some info anything like the name of the series, when does it take place bye that i mean the past, in the present or in the not to distant future such as Animated was. Finally will it be on Earth or Cybertron itself finally or a planet-jumper like going on various missions across all the planets in the universe. Also will humans be in the show will it have just 1 human such as Sari, or Multiple Humans like in Armada or no Humans such as in Beast Wars.

They are so many ideas to use for a new series rather it be for a contination of the Animated franchise such as it would be Animated 2.0 or have it take place in the Movie-Verse and have it eventually lead up to the opening events of Transformers 3 in 2011 or make one based of the IDW comic book series such as On-Going or All Hail Megatron was done something new we wouldnt expect like a suprise no one would see coming such as we got with Animated was done.

Whatever the case 2010 looks to be an exciting year with the new channel rolling out, the return of GI Joe & Transformers, Also more re-releases of G1 out on DVD and more new IDW comics. Also maybe towards the ending of 2010 we can see more on transformers 3 itself like some teaser trailers who will be in it so forth and such it is going to be an awesome year.

I am just as anxious as everyone else is about the next series rather it being a continuation or something new I just want to be as good as Animated was both story & character-wise.

Also there will be plenty to keep me busy until that time espically with Mass Effect 2 & Final Fantasy 13 coming out right from each other.

When I first saw animated I didn't really like it. However, my son loved it and as I watched it with him it grew on me. Having watched the first two seasons on dvd and season 3 online, I'm hoping that they bring it back in some form. Things started getting better for me around season 2 and season 3 was great. It just took time for me to get used to the art style and the fact that Prime wasn't the Prime he usually is. Once I got used to it, it was a good way to keep TF fresh and tell the stories from a different direction but with the characters that we would expect and snap it they weren't included. The animated universe has a lot of potential still left in it, but they gotta get the autobots some firepower and not make them quite as weak compared to the decepticons.

That said, whatever the new series turns out to be I hope it isn't in the style of the Unicron Trilogy. What made TF so appealing to me as a kid is that even though they're giant robots, they have personality. The characters in the Unicron Trilogy lacked any personality in my opinion. Love or hate animated, you gotta agree that at least the creators gave our favorite robots character again!

The Unicron Trilogy did have emotion espically with characters like Starscream the thing with the Unicron Trilogy it seemed rushed in its story telling but there was some good moments in it also.

Animated was a good step in the right direction I was scared when I 1st saw the new concept and even more so when I saw the designs & looks of the show but when I 1st saw the show in action I was completly blown away I was saying man this is some awesome **** and here I was thinking man this going to suck nads big time like Foster or some dumb-shit like chowder boy was I wrong.

The reason the Autobots are always weak to the decipticons is cause the Decipticons need to be that way, I mean the extra fire-power dosent help them anyways but it makes them look bigger like a big bully. Reminds me of the Jackie Chan movies were Jackie gets beaten up bye several guys but makes a comeback and kicks there buts at the end of the movie.

I am really thinking that this new series will not be a continuation of Animated either being in a trilogy of some sort of form or conintuing as Animated 2.0 taking place a few years after the events of the originals ending. No I say the new series will be new, diffrent and wont have anything to do with any previous sereies.

My hunch is telling me this may be a movie-verse cartoon series but I am just saying that cause of Hunt for the Decepticons is screaming a NEST based series. Also remember the guys that wrote the 1st 2 films are also doing the new series as well so you know it is going to be something geared towards the movie-verse.

But this is my theory anything is possible and I could be wrong but remember I was the guy that guessed that Animated season 3 would be 13 episodes so I could also be right on this as well.

I wouldnt mind a movie-verse series but I am like every one else hoping for a continuation for Animated I guess we will lear the truth sometime in 2010.

I think you are right about the movieverse type series. A few of my friends have been saying that for awhile now. I wouldn't mind that it does turn out to be movieverse as long as its a good show. It would just suck to see all of the potential left in animated go to waste!

Yeah people look look at the hints "Hunt for the Decipticons, also look at who is going to be working on the new series the 2 guys from the movies.

But people have said this is just a code for a new toyline featuring NEST but I though we done have that cause of the Human Alliance figures so it must be a movie-verse series.

Also I would love a animated continuation but I dont see it happening I hope I am wrong but I am usually right on these things I am pretty good at guessing at things such as realease dates like I did on Animated also I am good at coming up with theories on what shows will be about I have been wrong before but I am hoping I am wrong on this I also want a continuation of Animated that show had so much potential just screaming for a continuation.

But like I said my guys is telling me movie-verse or something new & totally diffrent something we werent expecting but I guess we will find out soon enough.

Look I am cool on waiting on a new series, there is more to do than just waitiing on the next series and I love transformers more than the next guy does cause I grew up with Genration 1 and been with it ever since then and I am now 28 years old and I continue to love transformers.

I am okay on waiting, look also dont expect the new series to hit anytime soon cause the new channel has yet to be rolled out or even given a new name which is now Kids-Discovery channel I think right now they are in the process of making a new cabinet with all the new people we have seen being named in charge such as the president of the channel so on and so forth.

Me I dont see this show happening until Q4th 2010 which is Oct-Dec or the very later which would be Q1st 2011 which is Jan-March.

It is a long slow process but I hope in the mean time we can learn the name of the show, the plot, timeline bye this I mean when in the transformers mythology does it take place the past, present of in the future, also which characters will be in it new and returining characters from previous toons such as optimus or will it be someone new a new show without optimus in it.

Hey I am all up for new ideas, as long as they fit in and make since to the transformers mythology I like seeing new things but I also like be faithful or a reminder of sorts of G1 cause G1 is the beginning of the story and it is good to have a reference of sorts every now in then as we saw in Animated.

I am going to be busy anyways in 2010 I am getting Mass Effect 2 in Jan then I am getting Final Fantasy 13 in March those 2 games will take up much of my time heck I am still playing Dragon Age.

Also there will be plenty of cool shows, toons and new movies to keep us busy until Transformers hits in 2011 and the new animated series rolls out. So be patient, wait, read, and do research and you may learn things while you wait.

Till All Are One !!!!

Anyone else think that the new show will be a tie in with the new war for cyberton game? It certainly looks feasible. The game's coming out next year. We've seen pics of a prototype toy that looks a lot like the prime in the new game's alt mode. Having the new series go with the game and the probable toy line would complete the trifecta that companies seem to accomplish in the market.(movie/tv series, video game, toyline.) Something tells me this will be the case, even though there is strong reasoning that the series will be based on the new movies. Just seems that all of the pieces are falling into place. Anyway 2010 is going to be a great year for the fans. It seems like there is so much going on with TF next year!

I dont think the War for Cybertron game will be a tie in for the new toon series but Ive been wrong before. The reason I am saying it isnt cause the game is a prequel or a bridge gap that shows us what happens befor the events leading up to Generation 1 sort of a prequel to Generation 1.

Think how Star Wars-The Force isnt really a movie but still feels like Star Wars v3.5 that fills the gap in between episodes 3 & 4 leading up to the events leading up to A New Hope. That is what we are getting with War For Cybertron the whole game will take place on Cybertron leading up to the events before G1.

Also they done this with Beast Wars with the Golden Disk of Cybertron which shows us how Megatron and his team stole the Golden Disk from Cybertron that lead up to the events that started the Beast Wars.

Me I think the new series is somthing new in a new direction but heck I could totally see a toon series based off this game but with a name like General Fowler it seems more move-based than a game-tie in.

Whatever the case TF Fans have 2 more reasons to be excited about in 2010 a new series and a new video game that will actually be pretty damn sweet plus the whole friggin game will be on Cybertron without crappy humans in it Thank you for that there is to much humans in Transformers that is why I loved Beast Wars so much no humans.

Transformers is Transformers not Humanmorphers but I do agree that sometimes humans are need to certain plot advances depending on when in the timeline it is but if is going to be in the past there should be no humans in it.

Me personally I think transformers does pretty well without humans in it look how good Beast Wars was without humans I mean how come every transformers show now has to have humans in it.

I mean dont get me wrong I loved previous Transformers with humans in them Such as Animated and the Unicron Trilogy, I am just saying Transformers shows could do just as good without them in it.

This is what I want to become of the new series, what I want the most, the top 3 plot whatevers.

3. Movie tie in
2. Animated continuation
1. War for Cybertron (video game) sequel

WFC, looks like it could be the setup for the new series! I hope its as good as Animkated and has a dark story like season 3 had. TFA season 3 blew my f*kn mind! =P~

Also, I dont want any annoying frekn 3 year old humans, although Sari want that bad, mostly cuz she was sort of a pretender. I perfer no humans at all. But some should be killed while the TFs are fighting! Like in the movies.

If they do a series to fill in a gap it should be between the first movie and Revenge not Revenge and a movie that hasn't been made yet.

The reason I say this is because whenever there's a cartoon series based on a movie the sequil to that movie never follows the cartoon series mainly because the movie producers would alienate the adult audiance who pays for all the movie tickets who wouldn't be able to follow the plot if the sequill actully followed the series rather than the previous film.

Because of this Films like the Mask, Ace Ventura, Men in Black and several others end up splitting off into two seperate universes that both follow the events of the first film.

Had Hasbro descided to make a series based off the first movie before ROTF it wouldn't be in continuity with ROTF but would be in continuity with the first film.

Clone Wars started up AFTER both movies it was set to be between had allready been relised. And even that could be taken with a grain of salt sence George Lucas has nothing to do with it.

So haveing a series that takes place beteen the first two movies and wrighten by the same wrighters could mean the first cartoon series that is ACTULLY in the same continuity as the movies it's based off of.

Now if they start from the end of ROTF and lead up to the second movie it won't line up because Micheal Bay isn't going to care weather or not the cartoon series which he'll have no part of fits into the continuity or not. So if they try to make a series to fill the gap between the second and third film it won't work unless they wait till AFTER the third film to fill that gap.

I see your reasoning Rodimus2006 but let me point out that there was a small toy line for the Force Unleashed. It was part of the larger toy line that spans all six movies. Who knows? Maybe they will release a few War for Cybertron figures in the new universe line or something. Either way, I am starting to lean more towards either a continuation of animated or a tie in to War for Cybertron in what I hope the new series is about. I liked the movies but, as I said, I got really into animated. Also seeing the g1 type art style for the new game got me all hyped up and hoping for a series along those lines. I really hope that it isn't something else entirely different. They keep mixing it up and changing things too often lately for my taste. With the movies, animated, and the new game they have three good bases to build on. They should pick one for the new series and run with it for 4 or 5 seasons.

I am getting the feeling with all the hints and everything happening that this isnt an animated continuation like we are hoping for so that leaves only 2 possiblities now.

Movie-Based Verion

War-For-Cybertron tie in cartoon that is connected with G1

I am really hoping for more Animated but all the signs are starting to say no on that now but this is from my view point and research and I am usually right on these things lets hope I am wrong on this though as nothing has been officially announced as of yet and anything is possbile still concerning the new series.

I am going next time to Gamestop and pre-order War For Cybertron for the 360 and play it on my new TV I am getting using a HDMI Cable.

Movie-Base

War for Cybertron tie in

Animated Coninuation

Something New & Unexpected

Yeah, I agree that a continuation of animated is pretty much out of the picture. The interview with hasbro about the new game left me with a feeling that there's a lot of stuff that's going on with the War for Cybertron game. They basically confirmed that there will be toys from the game and they are really excited about the game and projects based on it that are in the works. I'm almost positive that the new series will be based somehow on the new game. Guess we will just have to wait and see though. One more thing Rodimus. I gotta thank you for the little bit of feedback that you gave me awhile ago about the Unicron Trilogy. I went back and started watching Armada and it is way better than I originally thought. I think that when I first watched it that I didn't give it a chance and gave up on it only watching a few episodes of armada and energon. It was like what I was saying I was about to do with animated but stuck with it and ended up enjoying it a lot. Now also really liking the Unicron trilogy and plan to watch the whole thing.

The Unicron Trilogy did have its moments but it was dull at times but it did have some memorable moments in the trilogy and awesome versions of Starsream such as his Armada counterpart then he came back oce again in Cybertron I didnt care to much for Ghost Starsream in Energon he was kinda of weak and wasnt used right like he was in Armada.

The series has been blasted but mostly by G1 Fan-Boys but I am a G1 person my self who enjoyed the Unicron Trilogy as well as G1 & Animated. The only series I had my complaints with would be Beast Machines cause they made my Optimus Prime into a preachy wuss and the show was alway preaching about Organic but the cool thing about Beast Machines was Megatron and that was about it I also like what they done with Rhinox as well.

Then you had R.I.D it wasnt a good show either but I still would like to see that series 1 more time as I havent seen that series since it originally aired back on Fox Kids.

You really have to go by your own taste with Transformers rather you hate or you love it like with Unicron Trilogy some hate it but some love it, I am one of the Few who like both as an original G1 Fan-Boy who is now 28 years old is still lovin everything with Transformers but there has been good moments and bad moments you have to go on your own impulse when it comes to Transformers.

Most people that are with Transformers now are newbies that probably just got started with the Live-Action movies or with Animated. They are very few people that have been with Transformers since Day 1.

I done pre-ordered my War For Cybertron game for my Xbox 360 and I will begin the game with the Decipticons cause I think it would make more since to play with Cons 1st then Autobots 2nd to make more since of the story.

Yeah this is screaming War for Cybertron series but will it take place after it or during it leading up to a Generation 1 tie-in connecting all the dots.

Or will the series be movie-based which would be a NEST Based series where they are hunting the remaining decipticons after the events of Revenge has ended I guess we will have to wait to see but for all it looks like the chances for an Animated continuation are to slim to none now.

Hopefully around the 1st of Next year sometime some formal announcement will be made since the new game is out now and they are in the process of picking out the Va's for the show so suspect a announcement sometime soon.

I have also been a fan since the G1 days. I think that is why it always takes me awhile to get into the newer series that come out. The first thing that always pops into my head when I first watch one is "that's nothing like the originals". I'm since learning to give each series as it's own thing and so far I've liked the two that I've actually sat and watched.(Armada and Animated). I did like beast wars when it came out and didn't judge it as harshly as I originally did the others when I first saw it for some reason. I've never seen beast machines but from what I hear is that I'm not really missing anything. I did start to watch RID a few months ago and didn't much care for it.

I hope you're right and they give us some more details sooner than later about the new stuff on the horizon.

I am sure an anouncement will be made sooner rather than later cause they are already in the process of collection VA's for the show and already have 2 or 3 characters lines up for the show such as General Fowler.

Seems that this show may not have any human kids or teenagers in it here it hoping for that. I dont mind the military being in it cause they can coordinate with the Autobots and fight against the decipticons but who knows which direction this new series will be going in.

I am ok with a little wait on the next series I am going to be busy anyways with Mass Effect 2 hitting in Jan then in March it is Final Fantasy 13 and many more games in between there to keep me busy without worrying about the next series but that dosent mean I wont be ignoring it, I will be doing more research and seeing what I can dig up along the way and post anything I think would be newsworthy.

Also there are a bunch of excellent movies for 2010 to make us forget about transformers for awhile.

Iron Man 2
Avatar - The Last Airbender
Prince of Persia
Resident Evil-After Life
Tron - Legacy

They are more movies yes I know that RE wont be out until Fall 2010 but it still will be out before Transformers will as I dont expect that show to air in Q4th 2010 to Q1st 2011.

War for Cybertron tie in 95%

NEST Base show based of movie-verse 80%

Animated Coninuation is like 15 to 20% of a likely chance meaning slim to none now.

or a new show in a new direction meaning we dont know what it is or where in the time-line it will be in or even if it will connect is maybe a 30 to 45% of hapenning.

Lets see which one I am right on I was right about Animated lets see if I can get it right for 2x times in a row with the new series.

I hear you. Mass Effect 2 looks awesome and even better than the first one. I guess when the new series comes out, whatever it turns out to be, we'll have to start a thread about what we think about it. I am going to have my hands full with new games and movies also lol!!!
